Three secondary school students have been arraigned before the Osogbo Magistrates’ Court for allegedly beating up their teacher.

The accused persons are Haruna Waliu (19), Adebayo Abeeb (19) and Oladimeji Tunde (21).

They were alleged to have committed the offence on October 24, 2014, at St. Mark’s Anglican Grammar School in Kolabalogun Area, Osogbo.

According to the charge sheet, the purported crime was contrary to and punishable under Section 517 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.

The accused persons were also alleged to have assaulted one Osho Bamidele Samuel by beating him to a pulp.

The prosecution further alleged that the accused persons caused a breach of the peace by also stoning their teachers in the school premises.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Isiaka Ajadi, told the court that the alleged crimes were contrary to and punishable under Sections 351 and 249 (d) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge of conspiracy, assault and breach of public peace levelled against them by the police.

However, counsel to the accused persons, Mr. W. A. Idowu, urged the court to grant the students bail, promising that they would not jump bail, if granted.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Muhammed Lasisi, granted each of the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum, advising parents to caution their children.

The case was adjourned till February 9, 2015, for hearing.

Japanese Millionaire, Chisako Kakehi Allegedly Poisoned Husbands With Cyanide To Make Money Off Them

At last a popular black widow has been arrested in Japan in connection with the death of her hubby.

67-year-old Chisako Kakehi was nabbed today on suspicion of killing her latest husband with cyanide after the suspicious death of her former husbands, partners.japan black widow

The popular black widow reportedly made $6.8 million over the last 2 decades in insurance money and other assets she received from the death of her ex-husbands.

Her 4th husband Isao Kakehi fell sick at home and was confirmed dead at the hospital in December last year, less than 2 months after the couple married.

Autopsy found highly toxic cyanide compounds in his blood.

Her 75-year-old boyfriend also fell ill after eating at a restaurant in September.

Kakehi’s alliance with death began in 1994 when her first husband passed away at the age of 54.

In 2006, her 2nd husband died of stroke at age 69. She reportedly met him through a dating agency.

Her 3rd marriage ended in 2008 after the death of her 75-year-old partner.

A boyfriend, believed to have been suffering from some form of cancer, died a year later, and in 2012 her then-fiance met his fate after collapsing while riding a motorbike.

Autopsy report also detected cyanide in his body.

After these series of deaths, police arrested Kakehi today in her Kyoto mansion on suspicion that she has involvement in the death of these men.

“We suspect she did it for money,” a police investigator on the latest death said without giving details of the amount involved.

If she is found guilty, Kakehi will become the latest example in Japan of a “black widow”, named for the female spider that devours its mate after coupling.

Kakehi claims she has no access to poison after her arrest on Wednesday.

2 Children were left for the dead on Monday night after their mother abandoned them and chased after cheating fiance in Kabong area of Jos.

The kids aged 4 and 2 were left in a locked room by their mother Talatu, who sells beer in the area.

She reportedly left the children at midnight looking after his lover who had suddenly picked up another woman to marry.

She returned around 2am only to find out that the candle she lit had burnt low and lit the mattress.

The children got burnt without anyone knowing.

One was found without vital signs while the other one was rushed to the hospital where she gave up the ghost.

Boko Haram militants have shot and injured the acting Brigade commander of 23rd Brigade in Yola.

Colonel Popoola was shot in the shoulder three days ago in the thick of a battle to regain control of Hong and Gombi in Adamawa state from the Islamist militant sect. An army source in Abuja told SaharaReporters that the senior army officer has been evacuated to UCH Ibadan where he is expected to receive better and further treatment in the coming days.

Several soldiers were reported to have died in the battle. The military source also told SaharaReporters that at least 300 Boko Haram militants have died in the battle.

Colonel Popoola reportedly led a new crop of soldiers drafted from Jos into battle against the insurgents in a renewed battle to retake several towns from Boko Haram. The troop was able to recover two armored tanks from the militants after the battle was over.

The military claimed to have regained control of towns today in a short tweet.

Meanwhile, four commanders have been arrested for deserting their troops during the Monday fight that earned Colonel Popoola a bullet to his shoulder. The arrested soldiers include one Lieutenant Mohammed, the QRG commander of 234 battalion; 2nd Lieutenant UC Uche, Platoon commander of Bravo Company of the 234 battalion; Captain Lawal; and Lieutenant Buraji who is Mararaba platoon commander. The four and one other Captain Lawan were led away in handcuffs yesterday and locked up inside the military police guardroom at the 23rd Brigade in Yola Adamawa state.

 Tragic Australian singer Michael Johns died of an enlarged heart, according to a new report from the Orange County Coroner in California.
An autopsy conducted on the former American Idol contestant days after he died on 1 August proved inconclusive, but examiners have now ruled heart condition dilated cardiomyopathy was the cause of death, according to TMZ.com.
The report indicates he died from natural causes.
