4  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Some of the IDPs are orphaned children and they don't know where they came from - President Buhari on: 22-04-2016 01:00PM
Pre. Buhari and AmB Samantha
President Muhammadu Buhari said his administration has
begun the process of putting together comprehensive data
on all Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and Nigerian refugees with a view to speeding up their resettlement.

The President stated this while receiving the United States Permanent Representative to
the United Nations, Ambassador Samantha Power, at the Presidential Villa, on Thursday, April 21.

President Buhari said that the compilation of reliable data on the IDPs and refugees was being handled by designated Federal Government agencies, the military and other security agencies.

"We have frightening indices of the number of people
and the situation in the IDP camps across the country.

And in spite of the government’s efforts and the hospitality of
individuals and organizations, the situation needs better handling.

"A large segment of
the IDPs are mostly
women and children.
Some of the children
are orphaned and
don’t know where
they came from.
"Now we are working on getting a comprehensive data of all the people in the camps so that the government and NGOs will be properly briefed on where and how to support them," he said.

The President said that IDPs, who were into farming before they were displaced by the Boko Haram, will be mobilized and assisted by the Ministry of
Agriculture to return to their farms.

Ambassador Power commended the Federal Government for always being the first and highest responder to the IDPs in various
camps in the country.

Power, who had earlier visited Nigerian refugees in Cameroun, said the situation in the
camps could be improved with more
information on the
number of people in the camps and their areas of need.

9  Forum / The Buzz Central / Caroline Danjuma: Is actress still leaving her husband?(See Details) on: 21-04-2016 12:07PM

Just recently, Nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma came in defense  of her husband, Musa Danjuma, as the public trolled him for his numerous affairs.

The actress revealed she was not going to give up on her marriage to the Nigerian billionaire
when she took to Instagram and wrote, "I see a man who takes good care of our kids , a man who has supported me financially , yes he might not be the best husband but I appreciate him in every way . No one ever gets a complete man . We might not be compatible as husband and wife but I am blessed to have him in my life.

And now the actress
seems to have changed her mind (or so we think) with this latest post on her Instagram page.

Mrs. Danjuma today, Thursday, April 21, 2016 took to
Instagram to share a picture with the words, "A life long connection born from temporary lust. The innocent suffer when we go our seperate ways. Broken homes seen to be the norm nowadays. This is
not the way I wanted it or imagine it!!"

She captioned it, "#prayforthechildren.
We wonder.... what kind of message is Caroline trying to pass across?
Is she leaving Musa
Danjuma for good, or
is this just another 'innocent' post of hers?

A husband and wife
have been found dead in their apartment after
eating breakfast in Ondo State.

The incident has left many people in shock as to how it happened.

It was gathered that the couple identified as Mr and Mrs Femi Oguntuase were found dead in their apartment after their breakfast meal in their residence
located at New Site at Oba -Ile in Akure North local government area of the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Femi Joseph, who
explained that his men have not been able to establish the cause of the couple's death, said no arrest had been made.

Giving more details, he revealed that the body of the husband was found n*ked on the floor, while his wife, Modupe was in a wrapper with a bottle of palm oil found beside the couple. The bodies
were found by a neighbour.

Another resident of the area who identified herself as Salewa, said the couple were seen in
the morning of the fateful day hale hearty, but the neighbours were surprised to learn
about the ugly development in the afternoon.

It was gathered that some bowl of pap and beans cake were seen beside the deceased which showed that they died after taking
their breakfast.

"We saw the husband in the morning greeting
everybody but we were surprised to hear about their death in the
afternoon." a resident said.

She said  that palm oil was found inside the deceased's mouths which indicated that they might have eaten
food poison and drank palm oil as antidote to suppress the poison.

"We saw palm oil in their mouths, it may be when they were having stomach pain that they drank the palm oil. We also discovered that the death happened
after their breakfast."

The PPRO however said: "We got the report of the incident on Saturday and we are still investigating to get the cause of the death. The bodies have been
deposited at the hospital for autopsy,
it is after the autopsy that we will know the next step to take."
19  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Boko Haram now gives loans to youth as bait for membership - Nigerian Army on: 20-04-2016 10:27PM
Boko haram

The Nigerian Army has revealed the new tactics devised by Boko Haram terrorists to entice unsuspecting youth.

Below is the statement issued today, April 20 by the Defence

"It has come to the
knowledge of the
Defence Headquarter
s that Boko Haram
terrorists have now
devised another
means of recruiting
unsuspecting youths into their fold.
In this clandestine
dispensation, Boko Haram terrorists
have resorted to
providing loans to
young entrepreneur
s and artisans in
the North East as a
way of inducing
them for recruitment.
The major targets of
the unholy business
engagement are youths in the North
East, especially
the butchers,
traders, tailors,
beauticians and other
vocational entrepreneur
s who could be easily
enticed with such loan
without paying
attention to sundry
inherent dangers
associated with the
acceptance of such
goodies from this satanic group or
unfamiliar source.

After such loans, the
beneficiaries are given the option of
either joining the group or risk being killed if they fail to pay
the loan as at when due, whereas the
payment has been
programmed to fail by the benefactor,
the Boko Haram. It is
pertinent to state that
having been effectively
decimated and
degraded, the remnant
or surviving splinter
groups of Boko Haram
are desperate to
recruit more people into
their ranks and files as a result of sustained onslaught against them by the troops.

The Defence Headquarter s hereby advises the general public, especially those in the North East, to constantly be weary
and conscious of various tactics of the desperate Boko Haram.

They should be guided to avoid loan or financial
assistance from non-conventional source but
from conventional
financial institutions
such as banks,
organised trade unions
or institutionali sed savings and loans
establishme nts. Acting
otherwise may lead to
painful and untimely
death from the blood-thirsty Boko Haram
