2  Forum / Autos / 2015 Ford Fiesta full review(with pictures) on: 20-03-2016 09:52 AM
The 2015 Ford Fiesta is affordable to buy, easy to operate and refreshing to drive and economical to maintain. An exotic interior and fully up-to-date infotainment features that only underscores the feeling that the Fiesta is a subcompact car that punches well above its price class.
Every Ford Fiesta comes with upmarket styling, a well-fitted interior with some great finishing, plus added to an array of electronic provisions such as Bluetooth phone connectivity and an iPod connector as standard equipment. It is however fuel efficient and has convenient features inclusive of push-button start, a large touchscreen infotainment interface and heated seats, with or without leather.
If you are considering a subcompact car like the Fiesta, then you prioritize fuel economy and the 2015 Ford Fiesta exceeds expectations in this regard, too. Its stingy 1.6-liter four-cylinder may however not be the most efficient in the category, but its EPA-estimated 31 mpg in combined driving is still worth a thump up. There’s also the delightful turbocharged “EcoBoost” three-cylinder, which improves both fuel economy and acceleration. There’s also the sport-tuned Fiesta ST model, which is one of the best performance bargains around.
3  Forum / Autos / HOW TO INSTALL A REVERSE CAMERA on: 12-02-2016 11:56 PM
The safety features offered by a reverse camera, also known as a backup camera and back view camera, are so enormous. This gives the driver a clear view of the back end of their vehicle, including hidden spots. A rearview camera can help prevent property damage, keep small children and pets out of harms way, and even makes it easier to park. However, most old model vehicles don’t have a reverse camera, which requires owners to purchase and run the installation on their own. This process is a relatively simple which involves the installation of three distinct system components. Below are steps on how to install this separate components.http://www.automobileglobe.com/how-to-install-a-reverse-camera/

4  Forum / Autos / HOW TO CHECK EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEAKS on: 12-02-2016 06:05 PM
The car engine ventilation system is typically a pipe that carries the exhaust from the cylinders to the outside exhaust pipe unit. Exhaust smokes are dangerous in view of the fact that there are colorless, unscented poisonous substance known as carbon monoxide. A leaking exhaust unit is likely to allow carbon monoxide into the vehicle when the vents are open. Besides the fact that  leaking exhaust fumes are dangerous to the human health, it also reduces  the efficiency of the car. Below are some symptoms of exhaust unit leakage.
5  Forum / Autos / HOW YOUR DISTRIBUTOR WORKS on: 11-02-2016 04:53 PM
The ignition distributor plays a pivotal role in the ignition system. Its basic functions start with triggering the firing of the ignition coil, controlling timing advance, and routing or distributing the coil’s high voltage output to each spark plugs.
In the case of older applications with breaker point ignition systems, the contact points are made to turn the ignition coil’s primary voltage on and off. This are mounted on a flexible plate in the distributor unit or housing. Cam lobes mounted on the distributor shaft turn against a plastic block on the breaker points to open and close the points. However in modern applications made with electronic ignition systems, the distributor has a magnetic pickup or Hall Effect switch instead of the old points to create a signal for the ignition module whose duty is switch off and on the coil. In most instances, the ignition module is found inside the distributor in the case of GM HEI brands and mounted on the distributor housing in the case of Ford TFI brand.
6  Forum / Autos / HOW THE MASTER CYLINDER WORKS on: 11-02-2016 04:12 PM
The master cylinder is a control device that changes non-hydraulic pressure from a driver’s foot into hydraulic pressure.in doing this, it controls another component called the slave cylinders located at the other end of the system.
As pistons passes along the bore of the master cylinder, this movement is translated through the master cylinder to a movement of the slave cylinder(s) through the hydraulic fluid. The pressure created by moving a piston toward the slave cylinder(s) forces the fluid evenly.
The most common cases of master cylinders uses are in brake system and clutch systems. In the brake situation,, the devices are cylinders found inside of brake calipers and/or break drums; these are called slave cylinders, and they push the brake pads towards a surface that turns with the wheel this could be a drum, or a disc most often referred to as rotor until the stationary brake pad(s) causes friction against that turning surface.
7  Forum / Autos / HOW TO FIX RADIATOR FAN ISSUES on: 11-02-2016 04:07 PM
Electric radiator-fan motors are turned on either by the ignition switch and will continue rotating while the engine is working – or by a thermostatic switch.
Motors controlled by thermostat do not signal the fan to run until the engine rises above normal operating temperature, and would  then switch off  the fan when it has cooled down again.
To ascertain if the fan is working, listen for it cutting in and out, and be checking the temperature gauge.
However if the engine shows signs of overheating, pull over and look to see if the fan is functioning. When checking for this, be sure to keep your engine running if your car is operated by the ignition switch.
8  Forum / Autos / HOW TO PREVENT ENGINE OVERHEATING on: 11-02-2016 04:00 PM
Are you a driver, car owner? Have u ever noticed without prior knowledge that your temperature meter has crawled to the H axis? Driving on could be inimical to the engine so what do you do? Here are ways you could manage the temperature and keep your engine from overheating.
PULL OVER
Soon as you notice that the temperature pointer is at the H area of the gauge, quickly pull over and immediately open the hood. This is to help disperse the heat in the engine radiator. Do not try to open the radiator lid as high pressured radiator steams may rush out and spill on on causing burns.

CONFIRM AND REFIL THE COOLANT
Most modern cars have a plastic reservoir of coolant with calibrations and markings connected to the top of the radiator. This enables you see if your coolant is low. Many have indication of the proper level of coolant. Check to see if the coolant is at or below that level and if lower than the required level, Add coolant or water to your reservoir to the required normal level. In most cases, you may be able add liquid to your reservoir even if the car is hot. However other cars don’t permit this so it advisable to check the owner’s manual to know whether to refill or wait for the engine to be cold before opening.http://www.automobileglobe.com/how-to-preventing-engine-overheating/
9  Forum / Autos / HOW TO KNOW AN EXPIRED TIRED on: 11-02-2016 03:54 PM
There is some signs to indicate that aged tyres are at verge of failure due to over exposure to the environment. In an ideal situation tires should be used and kept in a cool, dry environment without exposure to direct sunlight and away from electric motors or other sources of radiation. Chances of failure of a tyres is high when the aforementioned conditions are not met. It is therefore imperative we know the ages of our tires. Below is how the calculation is done

Tires are produced with a serial Tire Identification Number (serial TIN) this indicates the date of manufacture of a tire. The last three digits (n/b: tyres made before 2000) or four digits (for after 2000 tires) of the serial TIN show the week and year of the tire manufacture.it is also easy to identify a tire made in the 1990’s from a tyre made in the 1980’s through triangular indentation after the last number which is not seen on 1980’s tires. .having known this, how old could be too old? There’s no definite period to discard your tire on age premise, however most manufacturehttp://www.automobileglobe.com/how-to-know-an-expired-tire/
10  Forum / Sports / HOW TO REMOVE AIR FROM BRAKE LINES on: 11-02-2016 03:43 PM
Your old car seems to need  and the cost is reduced and  not so threatening, for which you’re happy. however your auto technician  exhorted you that you would need to change  the brake shoes front and back, before too long. In any case, conceding that cost for some time wouldn’t be an issue, he said.

And all was fine for a few months, until you saw the brake pedal plunging excessively to the  floor while waiting at the streetlight. That wudnt be an issue because you could get some time off on a Saturday morning and have that changed. However after changing the pads the problem seems to continue
