29453  Forum / Law and Crime / I Started Rap!ng Children After My Girlfriend Left Me - 20 Years Old Suspect Reveals on: 15-01-2018 07:37 AM

Niger State Police Command has arrested a 20 - year - old man, Abdullateef Ibrahim, for allegedly molesting a five- year - old girl. According to Punchng, Ibrahim confessed to the crime during interrogation. He also pleaded for forgiveness , saying he started molesting children after his girlfriend left him.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar , said the victim had been taken to the General Hospital, Magama, for treatment. It was learnt that the victim was running an errand for her mother when Ibrahim dragged her to an isolated area in the bush and had sex with her.

It was gathered that the suspect had been involved in the heinous act for over two years before he was eventually arrested by police operatives. Ibrahim revealed that he had forcefully had carnal knowledge of more than six underage girls in the community. .

He said, “Since my girlfriend left, I have been in the act and I enjoyed doing it, but at times I will ask myself ‘why am I into this mess and the urge still continues?’. It is quite unfortunate that I found myself in this hopeless predicament." He begged for forgiveness and advised other youths to shun “ the wicked act that may mar their future. ”
29454  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Be Warned, We Have No Money For Vaccination! - Health Min. Alerts Nigerians On Meningitis Outbreak on: 15-01-2018 07:11 AM

The minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole has appealed to Nigerians to be on the look out for suspected cases of outbreak of meningitis, saying the country is already approaching its season.

Professor Adewole made this appeal in Ibadan, Oyo State over the weekend while speaking with the members of Network of Reproductive Health Journalists of Nigeria, on some of his ministry’s preparedness to curtail any reported outbreak of CSM.

The Minister said the alert is important because the country has no money to vaccinate all Nigerians.

He said it is known that meningitis is seasonal and this is the season, “that is why we are saying Nigerians should be on the lookout for it. It is so easy to treat. The vaccine is expensive.  When a case is detected we have an epidemic threshold then we quickly vaccinate people in the Local Governments, that is the best we can do for now.  When we are more prosperous then we can vaccinate everybody.”

Prof Adewole added that the conjugate vaccine will protect everybody for 10 years, the polyvalent vaccine for three years, as he added that for now both are expensive, The Nation reports.
29455  Forum / Religion / You Must Pay Your Tithe Even If & When Your Pastor Misuses It - CAC Pastor Adeyemi on: 14-01-2018 05:01 PM

PASTOR Seyi Adeyemi, the Senior Pastor of The Worship Centre, was ordained a pastor in the Christ Apostolic Church in 1995. He was a Director and Head of Trade Products in Citibank Nigeria Ltd where he had over 20 years banking experience. The church, situated in Oregun, Lagos, is hosting an interdenominational Apostolic Fire Conference with the theme, ‘Eyes on Eternity,’ in January 2018. He speaks on the programme and other national issues.

Can you tell us what informed the Apostolic Fire Conference?
Sometime in 2016, in the course of seeking the face of God as to what next to do as a church, I had the inspiration to establish a platform where people must be geared to focus on what is the most important thing in the mind of God. God wanted to have a relationship with man until sin interrupted the plan and God decided that Christ should come for the redemption of man. The spirit of God put it in my mind that it’s important for the church to focus on the things that are of eternal value, that are celestial because we have been so terrestrial over the years and that’s what brought about the birth of this conference.

The programme is slated for three days. Do you think those days are enough to address the issues you are targeting?

Three days will not be enough but it’s a continuous programme, it’s an annual event. So wherever it is that we stop after the three days, we continue at the next edition. All of these things revolve around the gospel—-the gospel has been preached since the resurrection of Christ over 2017 years ago and we haven’t finished preaching it. This programme is not going to finish the gospel. There’re so much distortions, controversies surrounding the Nigerian Church with many ministers more interested in pecuniary gospel than the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Where did the Church get it wrong?
In the 30s to 50s, when Pentecostalism and the move of the spirit came into Nigeria, it didn’t come with any form of modality, as we had the apostles, ordinary people, uneducated and raw people who were so dependent on God and obedient to the letter of the gospel. That is why our fathers, for example, were so committed and were able to pass the gospel to us in its raw form. There was a high level of spirituality but there was a low-level of knowledge. In the 70s, during the era of Billy Graham, T.L. Osborne, Kenneth Higgins, we began to see the renaissance of knowledge. They began to teach the scripture in its entire form. Interestingly, the people who received the gospel at the beginning were not wealthy people. They just lived their lives and depended on God. But in the 70s and the 80s, the spirit of God was moving even on the educated and wealthy people and, therefore, Christianity, for those who were growing, found themselves between two extremes: Those who wanted to focus on holiness, righteousness and close their eyes to anything that is of the world and those who equated poverty with righteousness. Neither of the two positions was correct. But because that was the experience of some people at a point , those who found themselves in the first era moved in that direction while those who found themselves in the second era moved in that direction. Here is where the problem began; when Pentecostalism came to this part of the world in the 80s, that was when we had the new generation churches and the notion of poverty and not being ambitious was associated with the gospel; some people believed it was a sin to be a doctor or a lawyer because those were not the things God wanted but many people said no. When the light of the gospel came, people began to understand the mind of God that we didn’t need to be so celestial focused and terrestrially useless which was the impact of the first era but that God wanted us to prosper both on earth and in heaven and that was where the pendulum swung from one extreme to the other. People like Billy Graham, T.L. Osborne who are examples of modern Pentecostalism were wealthy and blessed but were not covetous. But the challenge we have in the body of Christ today is that a number of people have commercialized the gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that people are now being motivated to chase money rather than chase the things of God. The Bible says seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all other things shall be added. So the most important thing we need to understand is that those charlatans who distort the true gospel are the ones that are giving the gospel a bad name. God is not anti-wealth, God is not pro-poverty. He blesses people who are doing things according to His will. He asked us to work and we will be blessed. We need to understand the morality of working. God is a working God. It is a distortion in the body of Christ and that is part of the things we intend to address at this conference.

And you are not afraid to step on big toes?
I don’t know what you mean by stepping on toes. One thing about the gospel is that you preach it the way it is. If it affects you, you’ve got two options, either change or ignore. We don’t target or attack anybody. We simply preach the true and undiluted Word of God and that’s all. We are not setting out to step on anybody’s toes; we are only stepping out to do the will of God. Time was when Nigerians accused the likes of Archbishop Benson Idahosa for leaning towards money gospel and not the true gospel.

Don’t you think you are going to be at loggerheads with some big players in the industry today?
God is in a business of revelation over a period of time and He uses different people at different times for different purposes. Archbishop Idahosa was the father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria. He was the one who took away that extreme notion of poverty gospel. In that dispensation, God had to use people like that to open the eyes of people to know the mind of God. God did not intend people to live in penury. When He created Adam and Eve, He put them in a garden where every need was already provided for them. So Idahosa was used in that dispensation. Then God talked to another dispensation, where the issue of faith had to come in. We have people like Bishop David Oyedepo who God use to teach people faith. We have people like Pastor William Kumuyi because God knows that holiness and righteousness and purity are also the prerequisite for making heaven. God gave him that assignment. God looked at people like Pastor Enoch Adeboye and said that only those who humble themselves before God can be exalted and gave him the gospel of humility. And looked at Pastor Sam Adeyemi among others and said people need to learn the art of leadership. He looked at people like Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo and used them to teach success. God does not use one person for everything. Over the years, God has used different people for the revelation of His mind, and we will not understand God in full until we get to heaven.

Will the conference address the issue of the unification of CAC?

The issue of the unification of CAC is an ongoing programme and serious efforts are being made in that direction and great successes are currently being achieved. I predict that within the next couple of years, the process of unification should be completed and we will have one powerful and focused Christ Apostolic Church again. There’s a lot of controversy over Christmas,

where do you belong?
That Christ was born at all is a major headache for the devil because Christ was born to defeat the devil here on earth. There is no controversy as to the fact that Christ was born. Whether He was born in December or He was born in January, as far as I’m concerned, it’s inconsequential to the whole fact. So whether December 25 was exactly the day Christ was born or not is not the real issue, the issue is that the Christian world has chosen the 25th as the day to celebrate the historical and undeniable fact that Christ was born. If anybody has a headache with that, there’s no apology. On the issue of tithe, where do you belong? When you speak about the things of God, you need to speak out of the knowledge which reveals the mind of God and not from convenience or circumstance. A lot of the people who spoke against tithe spoke because they don’t pay and they probably want to get people to align with them. Second, they spoke because they felt that recession is biting so hard and they felt that tithe was taking part of their income and, therefore, affecting their ability to live which, in itself, is ignorance. Third, because I know that whenever you see a campaign against biblical principles and doctrines, the devil is behind it. The scriptures that talk about tithe began as far back as Genesis where Abraham paid tithe to Melchizedek. Then it moved on to Deuteronomy where the people of Israel were required to make 10 per cent contribution to the house of God in order to take care of the Levites. That is how the issue of tithe was established in the Jewish setting and, of course, when it got to Malachi, which is the popular scripture, Malachi 3:10, the Bible says ‘bring all tithes into the house that there may be meat in my house’. That is the first part of that scripture. Then it says ‘prove me now if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing’.

Now here’s the question, by demanding tithe, does God really need our money?
No. God requires man, wherever there is a physical demand for anything in church, it is not because God is in need, it is because God wants us to learn how to honour Him with what He has given to us. People need to understand that the needs in the house of God will be met whether or not people decide in their own wisdom or knowledge to bring. So people need to come to the understanding that we are not doing God a favor by obeying that scripture, we are doing ourselves a favor. The argument that tithe was given as a commandment to Jews and that it was supposed to be paid to the Levites, and we are not Jews and neither are pastors Levites simply shows the ignorance of those who say so. The Bible makes it clear that everything that took place in the Old Testament was an example for the future. It used physical things to give analogy for the understanding of spiritual things that were going to come. So when we talk about tithe, there is a need in the house of God that transcends just meat and drink. The Church has a role to take care of the brotherhood. The Church has a role to step in and try to bridge the gap where government fails as far as people’s welfare is concerned. The Church has a role to propagate the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for God till the end of the earth. All these assignments require money and that is what tithe is meant for. Do people arrogate tithe and offerings to themselves? Yes! But the misuse of something does not nullify the authenticity of its command. Every man, pastor will give an account of his stewardship to God. So if somebody is not being faithful, it does not nullify the Commandment of God. It simply means that you are being unfaithful to the commandment of God. So, if somebody takes the tithe that belongs to the church and uses it for his own personal need, that is unfaithfulness. I don’t believe that the money that comes from tithe and offering is enough to buy private jets. We need to talk about something else.
29456  Forum / Religion / Bishop David Oyedepo Sends Stern Warning On Herdsmen Attacks And Imminent Attacks on: 14-01-2018 04:53 PM

Transcript of message for the nation by Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith World Outreach aka Winners Chapel.

Prophets have a duty to warn people, nation against impending danger.

I am sent as a prophet to the nation and God grants me access to divine confidentialities of nations.

I have this wake up call for a nation in a state of slumber.

Insurgency is spreading across the country under the guise of Fulani herdsmen. Danger is looming.

For example, how many of these killers have been brought to book since their campaign of carnage, death and destruction began, one may ask?

A nationwide crisis is in the offing than may be worse than anyone around knows.

Tell me the morality behind some strangers who are doing their business as cattle rearers overrunning  your farm with your labour and graze  their cattle on your crop and when you challenge them, they kill you.

Where are the leaders of thoughts in Nigeria? Where is the government and that continues unabated. We are sitting on a keg of gun powder. There is volatile reaction coming and God revealed this to me as far back as 1992, clearly written in my diary.

Nigeria shall not be destroyed. God shall trouble all that trouble the peace and progress of this nation.

The destiny of our nation has never been under the threat of survival as it is today. People may soon be forced to take the law into their hands. The security apparatus of the country has obviously failed to defend the property and lives of these poor farmers.

While we are claiming to be curtailing Boko Haram, we are on the other hand aiding and abetting herdsmen and their murderous acts.

Nigeria is a nation at war with ourselves.  No external aggression from aggressors, no ethnic crisis, no natural disaster, yet we are doing mass burial. What a nation in a state of slumber.

Hear the voice of God through this prophet, the soul of Nigeria is near the point of death.

Citizens of these nation are fast becoming endangered species, God have mercy.

Let me ask these pertinent questions that borders on the conscience of a nation and its leaders.

Is cattle business government business?

Should farmers be killed for Fulani herdsmen to live?

Should all the farmers leave their farms today for fear of Fulani herdsmen?

As the last time I knew, Nigeria still produces less than 20 percent of what it consumes and ask me what it the contribution of herdsmen to the GDP of this country. What is come to this country?

There is more to this low response of government to addressing this issue which is definitely a time bomb

Does Nigerian land belong to Fulani herdsmen?

There has never been this kind of assault on the intelligence of the people like we are having now.

Should you allocate my father’s land to Fulani herdsmen? No.

Are they now the customary land owners of every state, town, cities, villages and hamlets in Nigeria?

There is danger in the offing; every community may soon set up their own security system to defend themselves against the insurgency of the Fulani herdsmen.

Can the citizens still trust the security agencies of this nation to protect them? You will be vulnerable for life.

When citizens cannot trust the security a state of anarchy is in view. Insurrection may also be on the way. These largely unchecked activities of the Fulani herdsmen may eventually choke the soul of Nigeria to death, God forbid.

Is Nigeria project still working?

Without justice there cannot be peace. You don’t step on my toes and say let’s have peace. We can’t have peace but exchange of blows.

Caution, let politicians be warned, don’t sell off the destinies of men for your ambitions.

True leaders mind the coming generations. Nigeria is rescued.  Let no religious bigot say to me what is your concern?. By the grace of God, one out every 150 Nigerian is under my apostolic coverage. You are not a leader by elective office; you are a leader by the number of people you have responsibility for.

I am answerable to God on what happens to them. You can’t kill their fathers and mothers in the name of being in power. It is enough. When prophets speak God confirms it. These wicked forces will be visited by vengeance.

Is our sense of value for human lives still alive? I don’t know.  What I know is that it is not alive.

Today human lives are now being slain for cattles without any drastic interventions from relevant security agents.

Should men and women continue to lay their lives down for cattles ?

There is no nation on the earth where the defense of cattle is more than the defense of human lives.

How are these killers making away with their murderous acts? They must have the backings of some powers that be. Any right thinking Nigerian will speculate same.

Is Boko haram not spreading strategically across the nation?

How many cows will a Fulani man sell to buy a AK47? which now cost about N3m a piece.

A cow, the fattest is N180-200,000. To buy five riffles, equals N15m.

You don’t hire security guard in a room and parlour. Some fellows supply these guns and you cannot tell how much stockpiles of arms they have.

Nigeria is becoming an endangered nation where any group of persons may attempt to overrun the nation. Caution, Caution, Caution Caution  to everyone responsible for the affairs of this nation.

God has sent me to warn this nation, a flood of evil is at the door.
29457  Forum / Relationships & Romance / “I Dated Her For 8 Years, Never Had S3x With Her, After Her MSc. She Dumped Me'' - Man Narrates on: 14-01-2018 04:49 PM

Heard this and almost cried my eyes off. Each time I get to hear some ladies say, “men are scum”, I seldom keep quiet because I have loads of stories and experiences which when shared will not only silence them but may change their mentality about the “men are scum phrase.”

So, a friend visited my house days back, whilst gisting, he shared a story about a bosom friend of his, who almost committed suicide over the girl he dated. We will use Mr. I as the boyfriend and Ms. I as the girlfriend. I will try as much as possible to cut the long story short.

According to him, Mr. I had been dating Ms. I since 2008, he was in the university then, 200 level to be precise, whilst she was about finishing secondary school. And like many young lovers, everything was good and going fine except the usual “childish mentality” from both parties of course.

Things kept blossoming, everything soft and nice. She got into the university, a private Nigerian university, fortunately for Mr. I, it wasn’t one of those universities where phones weren’t allowed, so they kept communicating and in fact, since the relationship gradually started maturing, their love kept shinning bright like a diamond.. So bright that other male chyker’s couldn’t approach Ms. I because almost everyone in campus knew she was “bae-gaged.” Yes, she was that proud of her bae then.

Mr. I never missed the opportunity of leaving his university to visit her every weekend, notwithstanding the distance.. Oh, I forgot to tell you, he schooled in far away East, whilst she schooled in the West. And the journey from his university to hers took him 7-8 hours by road and of course, he always used road except extreme cases where he decided to use flight.

Not only did he risk his life plying bad roads every weekend just to see bae, he also made sure he got stuffs for her, food stuffs and sometimes money (He took it upon himself to bring provisions and money two weekends out of four, monthly). Indeed, bae was balling, no wonder she was so bae-gaged!

And whenever they were on break, back to their respective homes (fortunately they both lived in Lagos), he was with her almost every other day. In fact, both parents knew they were dating. Yes, and they both approved of it. Indeed, Mr. I was happy, he had the acceptance of bae’s family members and of course, the heart of bae (So he thought).

A couple of times, when bae resumed a new semester and Mr. I was still home, boss-man will take it upon himself to fuel his car and drive his woman to her uni, not only that, sometimes took provisions to bae’s siblings’ schools too. Mr. I was in love, so he just wanted to make her family members love him more.. Every guy who has truly loved, will know this feeling..

“Mans” was usually broke in school because of bae, you know, bae schooled in a private university and lifestyle was more expensive there. Of course, to please bae and make her family know he was man enough, Mr. I usually soaked garri in his hostel whilst he sent the food stuffs given to him by his parents to his girl.. Love nwantiti right?

Fast forward to his graduation, he got a job which wasn’t well-paying like that, but always made sure 50% of his salary went to bae’s account. Yes a whole 50%.. (It was at this point I literally started tearing up. A tear dropped from my eye and I am certain my friend saw this. If only he knew that I was tearing up because I couldn’t really fathom how mans was so in love that he forgot there is a difference between a girlfriend and a wife). Worst still is, he hadn’t even engaged her yet! Oh my gosh!!!!

Well, love was still there (so he thought). All through the years of dating, spending, killing himself to please she and her family, he never for once had any $exual relation with her. Never for once, because she claimed to be a virgin. The best he ever got was a kiss.. A kiss bruh!

Fast forward to when she graduated from university, Mr. I threw a big party for her. Hosted over 30 people (friends and family). Spent close to N650K on the bash (Unbeknownst to his siblings, he borrowed a huge sum of money from his friends so as to make the party a huge success)… And a huge one it was (At this point I started thinking, If only he had engaged her at the bash he threw for her, maybe things would have turned out differently)… Well, who knows, right?

Months after she graduated, he lost favour from his employers, so he was sacked. Things dwindled from his end so his usual 50% to his bae, stopped. 3 months after he lost his job, bae informed him she was going to study abroad, going for her masters’ program in Russia. (Funny thing is, she never told him when she even applied nor got accepted). Well, she apologised, he forgave and they were still chilling.

Weeks later, it was time for her to travel, he dropped her off at the airport, they did the usual (kissed and bid themselves goodbyes right in front of her fam.. Yes, they were that close you know!).

Chatting, skyping, doing all sort of things, all these lasted for 3 to 4 months of her stay in Russia. Things became bad afterwards, communication not only dwindled but it dissolved, “mans” was no longer getting attention, “mans” was confused yet still going to bae’s house to help out in one or two errands for fam.

To cut the long story short….. Few weeks before she was done with her programme, she sent a text, which read, “We can’t be together anymore, I am sorry.” …. That was all, 8 years and that’s all she sent. No explanation as to why she wanted to call quits. (Cold right?)

Mr. I lost it at this point, became severely depressed, in fact, he was almost going insane. He had to be on drugs. Severally tried suicide but luckily for him, his younger brother came to the rescue. He was eventually admitted in Lagoon for 5 weeks.

This was the period bae came back. Bad thing is, she didn’t even bother informing him she was coming back and worst thing is, when she eventually heard he was hospitalised, she didn’t step her foot in Lagoon hospital.. A cruel world right?

Right as we speak, Mr. I has been in and out of hospital, going through one or two crisis. He has lost touch of reality and become a shadow of himself, whereas Ms. I hasn’t bothered seeing him since she came back to Nigeria and in fact, is about to be wed in April 2018.

Love is a beautiful thing only and when it is true and mutual so children of the world, love with your heart, but use your brain!
