My husband, Ezekiel Obeji, impregnated his `sister’ in our matrimonial home,” a 31-year-old businesswoman, Mrs Francisca Obeji, told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos on Thursday.
Obeji told the court that her husband of seven years impregnated a woman he introduced to her as his `sister’.

“My husband, who married me as a virgin, stopped making love to me three-months after our wedding.
“Four-months into our wedding, he brought a young woman home and introduced her to me as his `sister’.

“He told me that she would be living with us and I accepted, because I didn’t know all his siblings.

“After some months, this his ‘sister’ got pregnant and my husband ran away with her to an unknown destination and sublet our apartment to another tenant without my knowledge.

“I had to vacate the apartment that day as the new tenant moved in immediately my husband absconded.
“When I heard that my husband did the traditional wedding with his so-called ‘sister,’ I travelled to his hometown to confirm from his parents.

“His parents told me they could only accept a fertile woman as their wife, while they advised me to go and look for another man to marry.

“I do not know where to trace my husband as he had relocated elsewhere from the shop I established for him and had also changed his cell phone numbers,” she said.

Obeji accused and called her husband, who had failed to appear in court after being summoned severally, an ingrate.

“Ezekiel is ungrateful and I now know that he never truly loved me; he was only after my money.

“When he approached me for marriage, he was jobless, but when he pleaded with me to allow him join me in my business, I accepted.

“After our wedding, he took over the business from me,” she said.

She also alleged that her husband turned her into a punching bag, almost beating her to the point of death within the few months of their living together.

She, therefore, pleaded with the court to dissolve the union, saying she was no longer in love and that she would like to move on with her life.

The court president, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, ordered the petitioner to submit an affidavit of service that would enable the court to continue with the matter despite the respondent’s absence.

I was having my lunch in a restaurant in Accra this afternoon, when A friend started a discussion of what some of our female Nigerian students in Ghana

have turned themselves into. I could not agree more. While the parents spend lots of money to ensure their daughters are comfortable and graduate with flying colours, their children have a different agenda.

There was this particular case of a young girl whose mother rented a 2-bedroom flat for her in Accra. My friend,said news just got to him this week, that this student sl3pt with 5(five) guys at the same time and was still begging for more.

She is always high on hard drugs. And, the mother, back in Nigeria will be boasting of her daughter, who is studying in Ghana. Oh, so pathetic.

Sadly to say, many of these young girls have become international pr0stitutes and seriously hooked on drugs. I mean what I am saying. And many people in Accra can bear me witness.

Some of the mushroom universities attended by the students lack hostel facilities and the students are forced to rent accommodation thereby according them too much privacy which they are not matured enough to handle.

This issues also involves our boys. Some have become drug addicts, school dropouts and they still collect school fees from their parents.

Parents need to pay regular unexpected visit to their children and monitor them via phone calls at odd hours to find out where they are and what they are up to.

If you a parent, you must never cease to pray for your children. A number of fishermen have caught the pacu fish, which is a close relative of the piranha and can grow up to 3ft in size.

According to Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources, the pacu fish is being released into the wild by members of the public who by them as pets and find they grow too large for their aquariums.

‘Pets released from confined, artificial environments are poorly equipped to fend off predators and may be unable to successfully forage for food or find shelter,’ said Nick Popoff, manager of the DNR’s Aquatic Species and Regulatory Affairs Unit.

‘Those that do succeed in the wild can spread exotic diseases to native animals. In the worst-case scenario, released animals can thrive and reproduce, upsetting natural ecosystems to the degree that these former pets become invasive species.’

In 2013, Professor Peter Rask Moller of Copenhagen’s Museum of Natural History, said the pacu may mistake human testicles for its preferred food of nuts.

He later told CNN: ‘We did say that we recommend men to keep their swimsuits tied up until we know if there are more pacus out there in our waters. Of course, this is half a joke since it is very unlikely that you would actually meet one here and that it would bite you. It’s up to people themselves how careful they want to be.
‘I’ll keep my shorts on, though.’

The General Superintendent, Deeper Life Christian Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has predicted real change for Nigeria when the right step is taken in the right direction adding that for this to be feasible individual must take steps within their circles of influence.

Earlier in his remarks, Governor Udom said country must prioritise agriculture, urged Nigerians to shun corruption.

He said “There is no leadership that is not instituted by God for a purpose. But how sincere are we? Let us start with ourselves. A driver who collects N10,000 for fuel but pockets N2,000. There is no small or big corruption. I don’t know how many people know that lying is corruption. If you can lie, you can do any other thing.

“But we have hope in God and in our country. We are beginning to have leaders who are prepared for leadership and I am one of them. As we make mistakes, we correct our mistakes and move forward.

Why did you reconcile with your husband after a long period of separation?
Everything in life has stages and time. If I say I’m a Christian and love God, then I should be able to live a life that Christ would be proud of. It doesn’t matter who is right or wrong in a relationship. We did it for ourselves, our children, others, but most importantly for God.

In one day, we counted 20 sponsored posts on Linda Ikeji’s site. TWENTY. And for good measure, we went back two weeks. That’s the average. 20. Linda Ikeji’s posts go for 50,000 each. Now, because they already so fairly priced, she doesn’t give discounts on this amount – no matter the bulk, at least for the larger market. Last two weeks, she updated the cost to N55,000. But for the sake of argument, let’s go with N50,000.

That means that in just ONE DAY, last Thursday, Linda Ikeji made N1 million naira. And she makes this minimum N1 million EVERY WEEK DAY. Without fail. That’s N20 million naira per month, ONLY from sponsored posts.
These are adverts placed directly by companies or agencies. We haven’t confirmed the new figures, but on an average this should cost N500,000 per month each. We counted 12 on her site on Thursday. That is N6 million in one month.

We see no evidence that any of them is an in-kind ad, perhaps from an event partnership. But let’s even assume that 2 of them are. So let’s make that N5 million a month.

A California pet owner, Corey Wallace, shared a YouTube video of his daughter taking a swim with the family’s favorite pet, a huge, 8-year-old albino Burmese python named Sumatra.

“Sumatra has been to over 500 birthday parties and many schools, she has been around kids since she was a baby.”

Wallace wrote of the python in the video’s description. He said the python does not accept live food.
“She has never killed anything she even likes our dogs and cat,” Wallace wrote.

Edinas Nyainda, a 22-year-old woman has been sta.bbed to dea.th by her lover whom she had jilted.

Edinas 1The lady was killed inside their rented apartment on Monday, July 25, at Kahawa Wendani Estate in Kiambu County, Kenya.

Edinas Nyainda was sta.bbed several times with a knife by her 30-year-old lover, identified as Maxwell Okoth.
According Daily Nation, witnesses revealed that the two had a disagreement after Nyainda, a recent Kenyatta University graduate, threatened to leave him.

A teenage girl who suffers from an incurable disease has been crowned prom queen - before she chooses to die later this summer. Jerika Bolen was honoured with her own personal prom, a chance to say goodbye to friends and loved ones.

The 14-year-old was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2 at just eight months old. The brave schoolgirl, from Appleton, Wisconsin, lives in constant pain and must spend 12 hours a day on a ventilator.

She has also endured more than 30 operations and is confined to a wheelchair.
