Keshi who during a media parley, with journalists in Calabar, made the remarks, stated that he never wanted to shut out any player from the team.
“We need Anichebe, we need Obafemi Martins, we need Uche Kalu, we need Yakubu Aiyebgeni and we indeed need all the good players.
“But I cannot bring all the players at the same time; there must be a limit to the number of players that I must work with in any match,” he said.
Keshi also confirmed Joseph Yobo’s injury and his unavailability for the game against Liberia : “My captain is injured. He has a little problem in his knee. We wish him well. He is still very much needed in the team,” Keshi said.
In the absence of Joseph Yobo, goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama will now captain Nigeria for the must win game against Liberia on Saturday.
Meanwhile Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi arrived the camp of Super Eagles by noon today. Mikel was the last player to come to camp, after he had visa issues to sort out with the Ukrainian embassy.
Also Keshi solicited for massive support for the Super Eagles : “I want Nigerians to come out and cheer the players and they will endeavour to reciprocate the gesture by winning the match,’’ Keshi said.
