The Nigeria Police will as from now come under the close supervision of President Goodluck Jonathan in order ensure strict monitoring and compliance of the set rules of conduct guiding the institution in the discharge of their duties.

President Jonathan stated this Thursday in Abuja at the launch of the Code of Conduct and Professional Standards for Officers and Men of the Nigeria Police Force.

Represented by Vice President Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo, the president said “I expect a quarterly assessment of compliance to be at my desk to enable me monitor overall improvement or otherwise.”
