President Goodluck Jonathan  has fired Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba.

The sack was announced by the president’s spokesperson, Reuben Abati, in a tweet on Tuesday.
No reason was given for the sack. A Deputy Inspector General of police, Solomon Arase, was appointed to act in his stead. The sack is with immediate effect.

[OMG, former IG eventually became a laughing stock.Good for him. Sacking that IG really serves him right.I will be glad to see Hon. Aminu Tambuwal walk around with no fear nor security.I dare the former IG to do; he will be stoned in the north and looked down upon in other parts of the country.Oh! what an end.]
