Abuja Supreme Court Sacked Another Member Of House Of Reps, Hon. Herman Hembe From Benue State

The Supreme Court sitting at the federal capital territory, Abuja, on Wednesday, reaffirmed its stance on the sack of a member of the Federal House of Representatives. The sack of Hon. Herman Hembe, who represents Vandeikiya/Konshisha federal constituency of Benue State, from House of Representatives, was on Wednesday, reaffirmed by the Supreme Court sitting in Abuja.
 
According to Premium Times, the lawmaker had approached the Supreme Court for a second time to refer the case to a lower court for retrial after the apex court ordered him to vacate his former seat and return all monies he earned in the House of Representatives since 2015.
 
The Supreme Court also awarded the sum of one million naira against Hembe in favour of Dorathy Mato, the defendant.
