The team bus of popular Nigerian Football Club, Kwara United FC, was involved in an auto accident on Wednesday morning along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, where some of their players sustained injuries and have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
While speaking to TheCable, Kwara United, the club’s physiotherapist, Gbenga Akinola, said; “There was no loss of lives. Nobody died, we have the case of five people sustaining series of injuries,”
“Everything is under control, hopefully all will be well. I won’t like to disclose the names of those injured for I am still in shock over the incident.”

The players were on their way back to Ilorin following the conclusion of the Bet9ja NNL Super 4 tournament in Lagos.
