A disturbing video has emerged showing a male teacher mercilessly whipping students at the assembly ground for allegedly failing to resume on the day they were meant to resume lectures.

This reportedly took place at the Government Science School in Eggon, Nassarawa State.

The disturbing footage is generating an outrage online. Can't we ban coporal punishment in schools? Make it illegal?
