A 23-year-old Nigerian footballer, Ekundayo Ebenezer Mawoyeka, has died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a match, yesterday, in Turkey.

The Sarayköyspor striker collapsed in the 35th minute of his side’s match against Yeşilköyspor at the Servergazi Stadium and was rushed to the Servergazi State Hospital where he was confirmed dead.

While reacting to the news, the Denizli Amateur Sports Clubs Federation President, Feyyaz Ceşen, who wore Mawoyeka’s jersey, expressed deep sadness

A new baby born in the WESTERN world spends LONGER  in hospital because they are going through medical tests to ensure there are NO LIFE THREATENING ailments

In Africa a baby is DISCAHRGED within the HOUR after birth. NO medical tests. No machines to detect FUTURE LIFE THREATENING ailments.

This is NOT the first AFRICAN FOOTBALLER to die in this way.

What of late Friday Okwaraji who died on the field in 1989. He was a Nigerian and played for the Super Eagles. May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace.
