Depression and suicide is becoming a big menace in Nigeria as young people are beginning to see suicide as the easy way out! In this video a man identified as Ochuku took his own life after his girlfriend of 7 years dumped him for another boy. The video is quite hear breaking you can watch it below:

life goes on, why would you kill yourself over a former relationship, i read something on nairaland, and a Nigerian said: "When hopelessness merges with loneliness, it can lead to depression, thus making on to commit suicide."

Here is the reason why it may have happened the way it turned out.

I have seen some very interesting points, posters have noted here

1) Toxic masculinity.

2) lack of self-appreciation and over-dependence.

3) Combinations of hopelessness and Loneliness

4) Maybe he should have married her, after 7 seven years of dating.

I wonder why healthy people are the ones taking their own life when sick people in the hospital with critical medical conditions are still praying to see tomorrow
