After its investigation into the public assault of a woman who was beaten almost to pulp by Senator Elisha Abbo, the Police in Abuja have taken the senator to the Zuba Magistrates’ Court, Abuja, for arraignment.

The Police have arrived at the Zuba Magistrates’ Court, Abuja, to arraign Senator Elisha Abbo for assault. The lawmaker is expected to be arraigned on one count of assault any moment from now.

If his victim has forgiven him, she should write the the Police, withdrawing her complaint and if they insist on prosecuting him, she should refuse to give evidence against him.

I think the real reason why the Slapping Senator was arrested is that he took over the role of the Nigerian Police. So my dear NaijaPals, let us all learn from the Senator's error. All assaults on people should be done by the Police and the Police alone. If someone offends you, and you feel like slapping him or her, just get the Police to do it for you. At a reasonable fee!
