Cesc Fabregas, FC Barcelona midfielder, has received an apology from Sport Magazine after a false interview with him was published. According to the interview, Fabregas had made critical remarks about his former club Arsenal.

In the interview, Fabregas supposedly said that Arsenal could not challenge for trophies. Fabregas also supposedly said that Arsenal was not one of the top three English teams. The article was published in the Goal.com website.

Fabregas responded by saying that he would "never say anything bad about Arsenal." Fabregas initially planned a lawsuit against the magazine with the money going to charity.

Fabregas announced in his Twitter account that he received an apology and a retraction from the magazine. It remains to be seen whether Fabregas will continue to pursue legal action.

While Fabregas has resolved the issue of a false interview, there might be some good news for Barca about FC Barcelona center back Gerard Pique. The news about Pique left me intrigued about his participation in the match against Valencia.

According to an article published in Footballpress.net, Pique might recover in time for this Wednesday's match between Barca and Valencia. The online magazine Goal.com published that Pique might not play against Valencia.

Pique suffered a hamstring injury at the end of August around the time Barca faced Porto in the UEFA Super Cup. Pique was supposed to be out of action for three weeks since Barca did not want to risk one of its star players.

The reality was that the three weeks turned into one month out of action for Pique. Pique was slated originally to return for the match between FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid on September 24.

It remains to be seen whether Pique will return for the Valencia or Atletico Madrid match.
