Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, has tragically passed away following a car accident. Family sources, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed the news to Daily Trust, stating that the incident occurred along the Kaduna-Zaria highway on Saturday evening.
According to the source, Makarfi was involved in the accident and was transported to an undisclosed hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Reports indicate that his father was present at the hospital during the critical moments. The family is now making burial arrangements for the young man, whose death has cast a shadow over the weekend.
This unfortunate incident marks the second loss experienced by a prominent Nigerian family in a short span of time. Just one day earlier, Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), mourned the death of his 23-year-old daughter, Fatima, further highlighting the wave of grief affecting the community.
