Lagos Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN)

Lagos Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN)

Description: I cannot recollect any decent society in the world where someone gets accolade for works they are CHARGED & under COMPULSION to carry out. I once told a colleague that if we are to achieve a true democracy in Nigeria, then everything that characterises Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola as a fantastic governor should actually be the characteristics of the worst governor in Nigeria.

My points are simple! Yes he's without doubt the best governor in Nigeria. But do you praise a courier for handing over money sent to you for delivery? Much more when he decides to dictate to you how such money should be spent? For us to achieve a real democracy in Nigeria, we do not want a governor who increased State tuition for tertiary education by 300% or impose toll-gates on motorists despite public outcry against such plans being labelled the 'BEST' governor in the country.

Yes, Babatunde Raji Fashola is Nigeria's best Governor as of today, but in true democracies around the world? Can we adjudge him by such standards?

poster nobody is over rating him here. u said urself that he is the best governor in the country. ok has anyone said he is the best in the world??? everyone rates him according to his environment, Nigeria. a one-eyed king in the country of the blind is a king nonetheless.

whoever wrote this is not a Nigerian, just some fools outside Nigeria compiling media talks all around..  In a corrupt society like Nigeria, when u have someone like Fashola still pulling all plugs to make lagos a better place and still talking trash here......give credit where due.....He remains the best gov.

Give credits to those who did the job as it was expected. The critic sound very myopic in analysis of the Lagos State Governor. He might increase tax, but his actions are positively evident. Lucrative remarks should be made based on comparative analysis rather than isolated innuendos.

@POSTER YOU HAVE JUST MADE A VERY INCREDIBLE OBSERVATION BECAUSE NIGERIANS ARE STILL LIVING IN THE DARK AND VERY BLIND TOO.THIS MAN WAS ELECTED BY THE MASSES INTO OFFICE,THE MONEY HE SPENDS FOR WHATEVER HE IS GIVEN CREDIT TO IS OWNED BY THE STATE OF WHICH HE IS NOT EVEN DOING UP TO 20% OF WHAT HE IS EXPECTED OF.YET HE IS RATED THE BEST FOR WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND.NIGERIANS DON'T PRACTICE DEMOCRACY BUT SENTIMENTOCRACY IN THE SENSE THAT SENTIMENTS OVER SHADOW THE REALITY EXPECTED.FASHOLA IS NOT BETTER THAN HIS OTHER LOOTERS AROUND OTHER STATES AND THE SENTIMENTS OF THE PEOPLE MADE THEM BLIND THAT THEY CAN'T SEE HOW MUCH THIS FASHOLA OF A GUY IS EMBEZZLING FROM LAGOS STATE.THEY ARE ALL THIEVES FROM BADLUCK JONATHAN TO THE LAST WARD COUNCILOR !

and do we practice true democracy here in nigeria?...without mincing words BBF has surpassed our expectations. or how efficient do you think a system or body  can work if the brain box or the body is malfunctioning....our federal system is the obstacle why fashola can't favourably compare with carlifonia or los angeles governors of this world today.
