This crazy people aren't Nigerians. In Nigeria they don't use hardwood floors, they use tiles. Who ever posted this photo is a gay trying to play tricks,by slowly inducing this kind of pictures into the mind of Nigerians so they'll get use to it,but it won't work out. If you are a gay and you love your life please don't dare this in Nigeria you could spend most of ur life in jail,or get beaten by unknown crowd.

You said "Nigeria is a free society, a supposed liberal democracy where people should have the right to live the way they want in all sense of freedom"
How about this question
Does a free society,a liberal democracy where people should have the right to live the way they want in all sense of freedom also means breaking the laws of such a society.
The last time I checked there is a law against homosegxwality in Nigeria or are you saying that freedom and right also means breaking the law???.I humbly request you answer this question.Thank you.

It's absolutely wrong to disobey the law of a state (but there are few exceptions in political theory) At the same time, it is absolutely right to protest a particular law of a state that is not friendly to all, section(s) or some groups in the society.

This is the fact my dear
Nigeria is (should be) a liberal state just like other democracies around the world including South Africa and not a religious (Christian or Muslim) community that base it's rules and laws on the principles and norms of the Holly Books. Nigeria is a state for Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Traditionalists, believers of all sorts of 'god' and things and believer of nothing. The primary function of the state is to protect not only the interest of the majority but more importantly the interest of the minority. The state has no right to interfere in the basic political right and individual liberties of its citizens. The problem in Nigeria is that there is no clear cut between the state and religion. The state is part of religion and religion is part of the state. When I talk about religion here a refer to Mohammedanism and Christendom. This mix practice of religion and state is wrong and does not fit to democracy.

If you are willing to step up with me a little bit into the sociological world of religionalism and try to fine a definition for the concept of religion, you'll agree with me that homosegxwality and transsegxwality are institutionalized religion. As such believer of this 'religious practice must be allowed to practice without any form of governmental interference. There are thousands of Nigerians that are transsegxwal; they have fully developed Bosom s and penis. These group of people along side with homosegxwals have been denied the right to live which it the fundamental right of any human that is undebatably uninterruptable. Let`s leave that aside

In a representative governmental arrangement like Nigeria, people elect their representative. These representative do not know it all, as such, they function through several other people and institutions. Because of their personal convictions and the will of the people they represent which puts them under constant pressure, and some times because of international pressures, they are bound to make mostly popular but also unpopular decisions which might be detrimental to some persons, groups and sections in the society. This neglect of the minority under the constitution of any democracy can legally be protested. That explains why there are contant demonstrations even in established democracies. The law against homosegxwality in Nigeria is very wrong and against humanity (humanity not in religious understanding).

Religion and religious believes should not be mixed with state and state functions
