WARRI—FORMER Labour Party candidate for Delta State House of Assembly, Warri North Constituency, in 2011 general elections, Mr. Adanse Felix, has warned that if the senseless killings of fellow Nigerians by the terrorist group in the northern part of the country is not immediately addressed by the Federal Government, it could plunge Nigeria into religious and ethnic war.

Felix, in a statement, said: “The incessant killing of Christians by the Islamic sect in the Northern part of the country will certainly tear the country apart if not handled urgently. The silence of the political leaders of Northern extraction is worrisome.

“They should know that Nigeria belongs to everybody irrespective of tribe, tongue, creed, and religion. Every tribe has equal right and stake to rule and to be ruled in the Nigeria’s project. I want the Federal Government, as a matter of urgency to arrest, prosecute and jail all the sponsors of the sect. After all, no one is above the law in Nigeria. No one is a sacred cow.

“The government should step on toes if this fight against the Islamic sect, who is bent on destroying this country, should be nipped on the bud. If the fight against this menace is to succeed, then the government should have the political will to crush them.”
