A marriage is a union between two people, two families and it was meant to be a happy union between all the people in anyway related to the bride and the bridegroom. That is why marriages are always public functions with lots of people around blessing the couple to have a happy married life. In spite of all the divorces, separations, no-marriage living-ins of today, the bond of marriage is the basis and strength of our society. It is an adjustment between two people, an understanding to be developed,which flowers into love for each other.

1.Internet, Mobile phones, and sharing more time with other people than the partner ,emotional needs are no longer satisfied by the partner.

2.live-in-relation, sex outside marriage has become quite common and so now getting married for sex has longer remain the issue.

3.In west couples are avoiding to have children due to practical considerations.I think one of the main reasons for getting married was (and still is) to have children.

4.As a result increased education level, need for more freedom, increase in the age of marriage age and difficulty in finding a suitable partner, many people are dropping the idea of getting married.

5.realization that happiness has nothing to do with getting married and knowing about the marriages around which failing, many people are deciding not to get married unless they find a partner which is a perfect match. Now there are people who no longer get married just for the sake of getting married.
