The former Liberian president Charles Taylor accused the Special International Tribunal for accepting manipulated witnesses against him in the prosecution of war crimes in Sierra Leone. By the prosecution witnesses that many were "bought, forced, and in many cases  threatened" to testify against their will, said, the 64-year-old on Wednesday in Leidschendam near The Hague, Holland. He was found guilty by the court in late April 2012 of the war crimes. The sentence became announced on 30 May 2012 as the Prosecutors sought for 80 years in prison against Charles Taylor.

Taylor was found guilty by the international tribunal to have, as the President of Liberia (1997-2003) supported the civil war in neighboring Sierra Leone's rebel Revolutionary United Front in order to enrich themselves. That Taylor had played a "significant role" in the crimes committed by the rebels. And that during the eleven-year civil war in Sierra Leone between 1991 and 2002 about 120,000 people were killed.

Taylor had to flee in 2003 after a rebellion from Liberia. He was arrested in 2006 while in exile in Nigeria. For security laxity reasons in Nigeria, the trial was moved to the Netherlands. He was found guilty of the eleven counts charges in which Taylor was involved and convicted, including murder, rape and pillage.

One side, this is a sign to those corrupt and wicked African leaders that every day is for them, the corrupts and thieves, one day is for the led (the governed), thus the people of Africa. Whose ox may be gored next? James Ibori accepted guilty of all charges and is cooling off in British jail now. These are tips of iceberg.
