Three kids who are all boys by name, Chinemerem, age 5, Okechukwu, 4 years and Nzube, 2 years all of the same parent, Mr and Mrs. Iheomadinihu were taken away by their driver after school hours on the fateful day.
The driver identified as Godwin had absconded with his employer’s three kids after he picked them up from their school, ABC Academy at Utako, Abuja on Thursday, June 7, 2012 around 3:30pm in a new Toyota Avensis, metallic colour without a plate number and disappeared without a trace till now.
Godwin was said to have been introduced to the school by the parents three boys, Mr and Mrs Iheomadinihu three months ago and had since been picking up the children from school but on that Thursday, he picked up the children as usual and has not returned them to the parents nor seen up till date.
The head teacher of the school, Mr Dankwah John Ben told Saturday Vanguard that the driver was introduced by the parents of the three boys about three months ago and he had been coming to pick the children either in the company of the kids father or the mother and sometimes, he comes alone to pick the kids.
Dankwah said that the school had been in existence for 10 years and presently has over 400 children.
’The school makes it mandatory for parents to physically bring who they want to assist them in bringing and picking the wards from the school and that the parents of the three boys did three months ago only for the same driver to come and pick the children on Thursday and has not been found as we speak”
”One is in primary one, the second in Kindergarten 2 and the smallest in playgroup. The driver was also to pick the parent’s relative ward.
The Divisional Police Officer of Utako Police Station, Mallam Usman Umar who declined to comment told Saturday Vanguard that the case has been referred to CP Command.
The parent of the children were said to have gone to CP Command for interrogation.
