Anyone who knows his Hip-Hop well will easily agree that rappers have egos and no intentions in suppressing them (shoutout to Canibus). So when EFA (who made our 12 upcoming rappers to watch) gets all controversial on his new single ‘E2DFA‘, we aren’t at all surprised.

What startles us however is the improvement in his story telling, emotional lyricism and compositions. While other rappers are after ‘dropping punchlines’, EFA breaks it down for the average listener putting you in his perspective.

‘I couldn’t be M.I, wasn’t short or dark enough/I couldn’t be Naeto C, didn’t say ‘Yes Boss’ enough/I couldn’t be eLDee wasn’t a big boy enough/ and I couldn’t be Modenine, wasn’t Hip-Hop enough ..but then I realised they couldn’t be me neither…‘, EFA rhymes on the D’Tunes (Kukure – Iyanya) laced beat.
