Rapid Blue Format and Optima Media Group, the organisations behind the successful Nigerian Idols music reality show, have brought the six-year-old globally popular Got Talent franchise to Nigeria.

The maiden edition of the show titled, Nigeria Got Talent, will run from this month to December 2012.

The unique thing about Got Talent is that the audition is open to talented Nigerians of all ages and sexes with unique talent to showcase.

The Managing Director of OMG, Rotimi Pedro, says with this, Nigeria has joined the US, France, India and other countries that have the Got Talent franchise, which is one of the fastest growing in the world. Audition has started in earnest across the country. Airtel is the official sponsor.

“Nigeria is the only country on the African continent, except South Africa, that has been able to secure the franchise,” Pedro said.
