This 2002 Kenneth Nnebue movie launched Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson to stardom as it was her first lead role. Portraying a possessed house maid, the curvy actress gave a brilliant account of herself acting alongside already established stars, Eucharia Anunobi and Clem Ohaneze. Fresh from secondary school, Johnson clinched the role after a tedious audition that held at the National Theatre, Lagos.

Recollecting her time on the film set, she says, “I was fidgeting when I saw the likes of Eucharia Anunobi who I regarded as screen goddess during my secondary school days. I never thought I would make it with people like that. So when I saw her, I was so excited and considered standing beside her as sacred. She actually realised that and later helped me by giving me the needed courage.”

Coincidentally, the actress who admitted that she found it difficult to pay her school fees says she once worked as a house maid to make ends meet.
