The Black Satellites stepped up preparations for the return leg of the African Youth qualifier against Uganda with a 2-1 win over Real Tamale United in a friendly on Sunday.

Eleven Wise striker Emmanuel Inkoom got both goals for the country’s Under-20 team at the Tamale Sports stadium.

The former world champios are desperate to overturn a 3-1 deficit suffered in the first leg encounter against the Hippos last week.

Head coach Maxwell Konadu is cracking under pressure to ensure the country does not fail to qualify for another tournament after the team performed abysmally at the last championship under Orlando Wellignton in 2011.

The team has being decimated with the departure of three key players for the fixture.

Latvian-based duo Patrick Twumasi and Baffour Gyewu have being recalled by their club FK Spartaks Jurmala while Frank Sarfo Gyamfi has also left for pre-season training with his new South African club Maritzburg.

The winner of the tie will play either Morocco or Gabon in the final qualifying round in a two-legged tie in September and October with the final taken place in Algeria 2013.
