My parents wont let my daughter's father see his daughter because he is black. (Page 2)

Goodness, i wish they would appreciate it but I dont think they ever will so there is no hope there. I have made my choice and i am sure it is the right one for my daughter.

This is a very delicate issue but whatever you decide,remember that your child needs the love of his father and the father has a right to show his love to his daughter.My sincere advice is that you stay with your daughter's father,you both need to put your hands together to give that baby the best.Your parents should knw that the father of your child has a right over that child than they do.Please show him love and let him have access to his daugher at his free will.Wish you luck as you decide.

There is no reasoning with them at all. I have to do what they say at that point in time or else. They want zero associations with African Americans and it means nothing to them that he is the father. They believe i should forget him and go marry a Nigerian, specifically a Yoruba and pretty much pin the baby on him.

Can u pray?, if u can then go to God in Prayers. Its only God that can turn their heart, cos bible told me that the heart of a king is in His hands, He can change it wen He wants. Ye, what's happenin there, IfeBus88? Ive just read ur post n felt so sorry bout ur situation
Parents are so pig-headed sometimes.. Damn, we all should respect them as the are older n have a bigger life experience but.. gosh, world's changin, meltin... ppl do go abroad, they do make friends with foreigners and sometimes they fall in love. Different cultural background may be a problem but doesnt need to be if people really wanna be together and if they respect each other n each other's cultures. That's what I think.
I really hope Ur n you baby r doin fine out there...
