Congratulation great Nigerians, a recent international survey has placed Nigeria’s commercial hub, Lagos as one of the worst cities in the world to live in.

In a survey done by The Economist Intelligence Unit, under the Livability Ranking and Overview survey, the result which listed Lagos as the worst place to live in Africa ranked the city as 138th, out of the 140 cities that was surveyed.

The capital of Bangladesh; Dhaka and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea were the only cities ranked worse than Lagos in terms of livability.

The ranking uses political and social stability, crime, education, and access to health care, as some of the benchmarks to rate the cities.

The survey shows that out of the worst 10 cities to live in, six are in Africa.

Ranking first on the list as the city with the best living conditions is Melbourne, Australia with an overall rating of 97.5. Vienna, Australia ranked second while Vancouver, Canada ranked third. Johannesburg and Pretoria, South Africa took the 92nd and 96th positions respectively.
London, UK is ranked 55th, while Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the next host of the Olympics also shares the 92nd position with Johannesburg.

we know dat Lagos is densely populated but wth their emphasis on the laid down parameters ,does it mean that no other cities in naija that met those criteira jus,...Abuja,Calabar or are they telling me that joborg n pretoria are beta than abuja in terms of crime and liveability ,dats a big lie, they shud revisit their measuring parameters and leave sentiments apart, most cities like Rio de janiero ,mumbai, beijing, new york, etc are they not populated and full of crime,to hell wth their rating bastard emperors
