Jessica Cox suffered a rare birth defect and was born without any arms. None of the prenatal tests her mother took showed there was anything wrong with her. And yet she was born with this rare congenital disease, but also with a great spirit.

The psychology graduate can write, type, drive a car, brush her hair and talk on her phone simply using her feet. Ms Cox, from Tuscon, Arizona, USA, is also a former dancer and double black belt in Tae Kwon-Do. She has a no-restrictions driving license, she flies planes and she can type 25 words a minute. The plane she is flying is called an Ercoupe and it is one of the few airplanes to be made and certified without pedals. Without rudder pedals, Jessica is free to use her feet as hands. Her flight training took three years instead of the normal six months to earn her lightweight aircraft licence, had three flying instructors and practiced 89 hours of flying, becoming the first pilot with no arms.

in Nigeria especially and some other African countries, no one would have looked at her, they will say her future is terminated. she would have been isolated, discriminated, and if possible, forced her into begging. but thanks to her Country, parents, and people around her that still see some thing uncommon in he, and allowed her to exploit. in Nigeria she for don drink holy water and anointing oil tayar. deliverance ma sef na another thing wey i no go fit talk

Confirming the saying that ''neccessity is the mother of invention" alway try to make do with what you've got, unfortunately in Nigeria esp. the Northern part if one looses a finger, he sees it as a licence to becoming a beggar

I really appreciated her efforts and courage. However, I disagree with the comment that if it is in Nigeria that she would have been pushed to begging. The truth is that most Nigerians are very lazy especially those who are religiously deceived. There are many handicaps in Nigeria who have re-writing their histories. Let me back up my word by saying that why do many able nigerians beg?
