Xsey4u at 6-10-2012 12:32 PM (11 years ago) (m) This is how bad Nigeria have degenerated into. Inasmuch as stealing is a criminal offence and should be dealt with accordingly, but the sort of justice dealt on these young men is absolutely repulsive and inhumane whichever way we choose to look at it. These young men didn't wake up one morning and decided to become petty thieves. They are the direct products of what "We" (our society) made them. I keep telling my fellow Nigerians that the problem with Nigeria is not the government but the masses (i.e the greater part of the people) that have lost every sense of responsibility and honesty to their motherland. I want to believe that these thieves were brutally murdered by some holier-than-thou youths in the community that can't even raise a finger at LG Chairman for embezzling what was allocated to their LG. Admittedly, i must confess that i have failed along with my fellow Nigerian youth to steer the nation in the right direction. I think as a people, that crave for the success and progress of our nation, it is time we have a complete re-orientation, a proper understanding of our predicaments and an adequate education because that is the only way we can start doing things differently. Now, my question is; If the stealing of laptops and phones attract such a gruesome murder, why are those thieves in government that have stole billions and still stealing billions of our money are still gallivanting around the country in porch cars, living in mansions, get medical care abroad, get accolades and praises from the people etc? And if Obasanjo who stole billions and almost a community to himself is still address as ''Baba'' which means father in Nigeria today, then something is definitely wrong with the psychic of the Nigerian people. mikeangley at 6-10-2012 12:47 PM (11 years ago) (m) Nigeria as a country is completely out of touch with civilisation and appear to me to be some trillion years to it. There is no rule of law as such that anyone can arrest, detain, prosecute and execute at will, apart from war turn countries there is certainly no where in the civilise world that this kind barbaric act is contained. My question therefore is, how long did it take the murderers to carry out there wicked act? Why did anybody not invite the babel of law enforcers such as the Police, Civil Defence Corps, Peace Corps or even the Military to stop the madness? If someone did call the law enforcers did they respond? if they didn't why not? Therefore the police commission of that state must bring to book the perpetrators or be himself and his outfit be charged under the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights or the (Banjul Charter) As you all may know the burden of proof is on the legal prosecutors and not untrained miscreants to collect and present enough compelling evidence to convince the jury of the fact, who is restrained and ordered by law to consider only actual evidence and testimony that is legally admissible. On this note, I call on all Human rights activists in Nigeria to act now by pushing this agenda forward until law is passed to stop further waste of innocent lives. as a Philosophical student I believe there are reasons why people act the way they do if even those students are actually guilty. No matter what happened no one has the right to take another's life. God bless Nigeria. Posted: at 6-10-2012 12:47 PM (11 years ago) | Newbie | |

moniconyez at 6-10-2012 02:19 PM (11 years ago) (m) I now quite agree that this country has turned to a banana republic'this type of thing cannot be done in any civilised and law abidding nation'how I wish they should wiped out completely those entire village or community that mistreated those students'even if they were at faults or truly they stole those items as alleged"they need not to take that barbaric action on their own hands' its pure madness

I wll never support thievery and I wll never support this kind of justice system.. Let the police use the pictures and videos to trace the jungle justices.
