Nigeria police force has always proof that its worst level of incompitence is yet to be seen, in this modern age of cellular? why did they deny at first, anyway, that does not matter, what matters is that the ve accepted being there on time to stop the barbarism but failed due to their incompitence, no excuse or insurficient excuse for failure, supposedly there should be a random querry from the commissioner to the divisional chiefs, and more so a severe punishment for the men on duty (in affected area) that day to serve as a warning to others who may exhibit such level of negligence on duty in future

Am sure the bastard must have been arrested cos when the police spoke on Channels news he said about 4 out of the murderers were specifically and clearly identified as key persons in the video and in total 21 of them have been arrested...

In this day of modern communication,they can use their  radio and  phone to make call for back up.They can also shoot into the air to disperse the crowd.I Think it is  high time the Nigerian police should be highly equiped.Over billions of naira was voted for security in the last budget and now nothing to show for it.It is even very sad how people are being killed this day with out prompt action being taken by our law enforcement agents The judiciary system is also weak.Our law makers should sit down and promogate effective law that should punish any body that take law into thier own hands no matter what the case may be. Strigent and effective punishment should be meted out for any body that violate this law.
