Meteorite Explosion in Russia - 2/15/2013 [FULL VIDEO]

A Russian meteorite lit up the sky in a series of explosions so loud that they shook houses and blew out windows, sparking fears that the bright lights in the sky could actually be a UFO.



The meteor shower sparked panic in three major cities in Russia's Urals region — Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg and Tyumen. In Chelyabinsk, witnesses said the explosion from the meteorites were so loud that it was like an earthquake mixed with thunder, RT.com reported. They also saw huge trails of smoke across the sky behind the meteor.

The Russian meteor was being taken very seriously, as some suggested it could have actually been a secret military test or UFO of some kind. Russian officials confirmed that at least one meteorite had fallen in the Chelyabinsk region, The Associated Press reported.

Still, even with confirmation that it was a natural phenomenon, civil officials were taking no chances with the meteor.
