James 2:8-9
If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye committ sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We stand together in prayer for the all of Nigeria and its borders.  Where ever your people are and whoever they are in their community let them stand and make a difference for you in Jesus name. May those who are struggling receive your strength, may those who are hurting receive your comfort, may those who are lacking in any and every area of their life receive all the good things you have for them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  If we would do as your standards says and love our neighbor as ourself, many of the trappings the enemy set before us would utterly fail....and the devil knows this but doesn't want others to know this.  Those in Christ have authority in the holy name of Jesus Christ to overcome all the power of the enemy.  Let us do and say what we are to do and say in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Kindness and compassion is not foolishness but God's love in action!

An Unavoidable Subject

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:27–28

Jesus talked a lot about hell. In fact, He talked more about hell than any other preacher in the Bible. Therefore, we don't want to steer clear of the subject. We want a biblical understanding of what the Bible says.

The apostle Paul concluded his message on Mars Hill with these words: "God overlooked people's ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead" (Acts 17:30–31).

Jesus talked about judgment. Paul talked about judgment. The apostles talked about judgment. The Bible talks about judgment. And we need to talk about it, too, and have a proper understanding of what it is all about.

Some would say that it isn't loving to talk about these things. But I could not disagree more. I think it's the most loving thing we could do.

Let's say there was a house on fire with someone trapped inside. And let's say for some reason, he didn't know his house was on fire. Would it be a loving thing for me to run and kick down the door, grab him, and run out of the burning house with him? Of course it would.

On the other hand, would it be a loving thing for me to walk by and say, "Oh, that house is on fire! Very interesting. Let's go"? That wouldn't be loving at all.

If we really believe there is an afterlife—and more specifically—a final judgment, if we really believe we will be held accountable for things that we say and do, then it will affect the way that we live.

Father God,

We thank you for doing everything that needed to be done to save us from destroying ourselves.  You are the only wise God and we praise your Holy name.  We thank you Lord for loving us so much---you have laid all good things before us in Jesus name and all we have to do is receive it.  Those who belong to you, may they remain ever strong, in love and protected on all side in Jesus name.  For all who have not made it home yet, we are praying for you.  We pray you come to Elohim, we pray your ears and eyes are opened, your hearts are softened towards the Creator of heaven, earth and mankind, so you may see the truth and make the best decison for your life without interference from the evil one in Jesus name.  Satan and you demons we bind you and rebuke you in Jesus Holy name!  All this we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I just read this morning devotion....

May we continued to receive God's blessings this day and everyday, as we strive to do and say what Jehovah would have us do and say in Jesus Holy name.  Every evil spirit we bind and rebuke you in Jesus name.  Every evil word, work and influence is destroyed in the name of Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords, amen.

God's Plan for the Family
"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you."   —Exodus 20:12

It has been said that a family can survive without a nation, but a nation cannot survive without the family. God established the family by bringing a man and a woman together in marriage. Then came children and grandchildren. That is His order.

The Bible tells us, however, that in the last days there will be an attack on the family. One of the signs of the end times will be a lack of respect for one's parents. We read in 2 Timothy 3, "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy" (verses 1–2).

We have certainly lost sight of God's commandment to "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you." (Exodus 20:12). Notice the commandment is to honor your father and mother—not honor your father and father, or your mother and mother, or your mother and her live-in lover or partner. We tamper with God's order at our own peril.

Know this: Satan always hates what God loves. God loves the family. He established the marriage of a man and woman as a physical representation of His love for the church and the church's love for Him. God effectively says, "You want to know how much I love my people? Look at the way that Christian man loves his wife. You want to know how much My people love Me? Look at the way that Christian woman loves her husband. This is my model. This is my example for all of you to observe."

Therefore it should come as no surprise that the devil would try to undermine the family.

God Knows . . . in Detail

"Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish."  —Isaiah 46:10

I am always amazed at my wife Cathe's ability to remember details. When I tell her about something that happened, she always asks questions. She will interrupt me mid-story because she wants details that seem insignificant to me at the time.

"Who cares?" I will tell her. "Let me finish the story."

But then, when I am retelling the story some time later, she notices that I left out a part.

"How do you know?" I will say. "You weren't there."

"No," she says, "but I remember."

And she is right. She remembers it better than I remember it because I forget details.

Some of us may forget details, but God does not. Not only does God remember every detail of the past, but He also knows the future with complete accuracy.

Revelation 13 describes a time when the Antichrist will introduce a cashless society. He will require people to take a mark by which no one can buy or sell without it, and the end game of this is to cause people to engage in devil worship.

The technology is effectively already here. Forty years ago this would have seemed impossible, if not implausible. But now with all of the developments in technology, we can see how such a thing actually could unfold before our eyes in real time.

God said in Isaiah, "Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish." (46:9–10).

When God tells us what is about to happen, He is not going out on a limb. He knows the future as well as we know the past
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Father God,

We thank you for being there for us and loving us the way you do despite some of the negative consequences we put in our lives from the past and present.  You warn us by sending perfectly timed messages in many way and by sending your people to caution us.  But, many time we do not listen or heed the warnings.  Help us to see and learn the lessons from the past and present that prepares us for the very best future you have awaiting us in Jesus name.  Let us remember and live out your goodness, your love, your mercy, your grace, your compassion, your patience and every good thing, by sharing with those you have cross our path.  Thank you for your faithfulness in Jesus mighty name, amen.  .

Don't Look Back

I find it interesting how we can look at the past through rose-colored glasses. Remember the children of Israel? They had been delivered from the tyranny and bondage of Egypt, where for years they had languished in slavery. In their deep distress they cried out to God for deliverance, and the Lord answered their prayers through a man named Moses.

As they made their way through the wilderness, God supernaturally fed them with an incredible bread-like substance called manna. Manna literally means, "What is it?" They had it daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But after a while, they got tired of it. They said, we are sick of manna. We remember the good old days back in Egypt, where we ate garlic, leeks, and onions (see Numbers 11:5).

They spoke of the good old days in Egypt, but as slaves they basically ate table scraps. They barely scraped out a miserable existence. Yet in their imaginations, they magnified these scraps into some sumptuous feast they had each and every day. Don't build up the past in your mind. Remember it for what it was. Don't allow the enemy to pull you down by fantasizing about it. Protect your mind, and don't look back. Remember what Jesus said in Luke 9:62, "Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God" (NLT). These words contain an implied promise that ought to challenge us to the core. The Lord is telling us: If you do not move forward for My glory, then you will not be fit for My Kingdom. But if you move forward, then you will have an honored place at My table . . . forever.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Father God,

Thank you for today and all your many blessings.  Thank you Jesus for the victory in every area of our life.  Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving us so much and showing us you love us by taking such good care of us in every way.  You have given us the keys to the kingdom of heaven.  Mighty God we give thanks to you and praise you.  No matter how busy our days gets, lets us stay focused on you and what you would have us to do and say.  Hail King Jesus!!!

Greetings 9japals,

Long time....I pray this post finds all in good spirits and in good health, in Jesus name.

I do not think I posted on this movie, but it was sooooo touching and got me thinking about how we are suppose to be helping one another.  What do you think?

Its a Nigerian movie titled, 21 Days with Christ.  It's part one, two and three, starring Olu Jacobs and Saint Obi.

The gist of the movie is... the king of a village dies and before the new king can be crowned in this village, certain rituals must take place.  One ritual involves sacrificing a little girl (a real little about eleven yrs..I think).  The little girl that was taken was a young Christian.  She was afraid at first but got control of herself and the Holy Spirit began to bring back to her remembrance the word of God.  The little girl stood on God's word and her strength grew, even though the situation she was that she was trapped in a room and didn't know how far away from her own village, father or mother she was, being held against her will and being fed food with the purpose of weakening her spirit and resistance enough so that she would not fight being killed and sacrificed to a false god.  What was amazing is that since the little girl went missing, the head of their house---the husband and father, stood spiritually strong for his little girl and family.  The father stood strong and kept his wife right beside him and contacted their Pastor, who took action immediately.

The immediate action they took.....PRAYER.

The parents or church did not start complaining, speculating, backbitting, doubting, SLEEPING or making any excuse why they could not do as Christians are suppose to do for one another and lift each other up in prayer.  Prayer can reach any person anywhere on the face of this earth, at anytime.  While this little girl was standing on her faith and trust in the one true God; the little girl's father, mother and church family was also praying and standing on their faith and trust in the one true God.  The little girl's prayer was for her to go back safely to her father and mother; and the father, mother and church family's prayer was for the little girl be returned safely back to them.  Those serving demons and satan tried to take the little girl's life but because of her, her parents and her church family, there was no way.  The devil's plan to take that little girl's life was destroyed.  In fact, this little girl's faith affected the man who was to be crowned king, who eventually came to freedom through Jesus Christ, who freed his village from the bondage and slavery of serving demons and satan.  Praises to Jehovah.

This was a move BUT God's power works for his people and he does not ever ever let us down in real life.

Psalm 9:  I will praise thee, O Lord with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works. 2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee; I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. 3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for loving us as we are.  We just thank you for being who you and for doing all that you have done for us to show us your true love for us.  Thank you Jehovah God.  We thank you for all the blessings you have given to us in every area of our life.  Help us to do what you have called us to do in this place for one another....in Jesus name, amen.

The Witness

Revelation 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

I heard part of a message a pastor was preaching, overall, about Job.  He mentioned how the Holy Spirit is a witness to those who have been born again and how the devil, satan and father of lies is the accuser.  The Holy Spirit is God’s witness and I began to think about the spiritual realm.  In Job’s case, the devil said that God has a hedge around him but how did the devil know this?  Since the devil goes about seeking whom he may devour, he must have already tried to devour Job.  Does something happen in the spiritual realm that allows the devil see when we have left ourselves open to demonic attacks?  What if every time we committed a sin, a witness in the spiritual realm was created?  Tell a lie and a witness in the spiritual realm pops up in the spiritual realm to witness the lie told.  Falsely accuse your neighbor and there goes another witness in the spiritual realm.  Steal, kill, commit adultery, cover your neighbor’s wife/husband or goods…just too many witnesses popping up in the spiritual realm.  All the bad things we do, oh my goodness, if we had the spiritual eyes to see all the witnesses tied to one another in the spiritual realms, we would probably run for our dear lives into our homes and never come out.  Something else!  But, just a thought.

I think it is so much better not to have any such witnesses such as lies, theft, murder, dishonoring father/mother, idolatry, etc. for the devil to use against us.  Is it possible?  It most definitely is possible through Jesus Christ.

Thank you Jehovah God for all you have done for us, we are grateful.

I too, sadly, have given satan many witnesses to use against me and my life at one time or another or many times.

If we are with God, we are not at rest when we do the wrong things. God, the faithful friend that He is will never leave us in our good or bad times. In fact, God will be will us, talk to us, guide us and help us come to our senses, so we do not inflict more pains and scars on ourselves.  If we are with God, we will Always get up and come to our senses, ask for forgiveness, make amends, learn the lessons, heal and move forward a stronger and wiser person. One of many promises God has made to us is that, those who love him...whatever the devil has used against us to harm us, God WILL work it to our good.  And it is so very true!

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all your grace and mercy. Thank you for forgiving us, loving us as you do and saving us in Jesus name. We give you the highest praises and glorify you Jehovah-Great I Am.

Bless the Lord!

Happy New Year 9ja pals

May your 2014 and every year after bring all the good things God has instore for you, your family and your lives in Jesus name!

As well, this will be my last posting to this thread, though prayers for Nigeria, Africa, America and other countries have been and will continue daily by Christians everywhere.

After spending the Thanksgiving Holiday in Nigeria, I want to just encourage many not to allow anyone to talk you out of your blessings or God's destiny for your life.  In all areas of life, DO NOT make the evil exchange of throwing away your great abundance by taking alittle by force, tricks and deceit. There are times when standing on what is right is tough, especially when so many are standing on wrong.  Stand on God's word and do not grow weary in doing what is good. God rewards obedience, God gives us double for our trouble and whatever the devil means for bad, God works it to the good for those that love Him.  God is too great o!

If there is anyone who wants a relationship with the Creator of heaven, earth and mankind...Jehovah, please see the end of  previous prayers for Nigeria thread, as this is #4.

God's continued blessings to Nigeria and all of you in Jesus mighty name, amen.
