Gunmen Kill 3 WAEC Staffs In Maiduguri

There are reports from Maiduguri, the Borno state capital that three staff of the West African Examination Council, WAEC were on Friday shot dead by unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the Islamic Militants, Boko Haram.

A staff of WAEC board in Maiduguri, who did want his name in print said, their staff were attacked yesterday while returning from Biu after conducting examination in the local government.

His words “from what we heard, the gunmen stopped the vehicle, and on realising they were government officials, brought them out and killed them.”

He said that their corpses have been brought to Maiduguri, awaiting further instructions from the board, before they are released to the affected families.

He said the gunmen took away the Hilux vehicle, with students exams script collected from the exam centre in Biu.
