One of my friends insisted there was a way a lady could dress with flats and pumps and look classy…if not classier than a lady on heels. I didn’t quite agree with her but then again I was on my way to the dentist to get my tooth extracted so I was pre-occupied with the horror ahead and wasn’t in the least bit interested in pinging about heels or flats.
When I saw these photos of our deevarized mentors like Sarah Jessica Parker, I was forced to have a re-think. Lawd have mercy! What deeva didn’t want to get her feet into a pair of Manolos after watching SJP in Sex And The City? Sarah Jessica Parker admits that tottering around in her Blahniks has ruined her feet.
I ogled anytime I saw a pair of Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Miu Miu, YSL…and yes I have a shoe fetish! *tongue out*
But seriously all that isn’t worth these giant veins on my feet. As much as I adore a pair of good heels, I desire more…healthy, supple-looking feet. And I want to keep my feet looking youthful for as long as possible.
So I propose that we lay off the addiction to high heeled shoes to save our feet. Get some deevarized flats for everyday use. Reserve your heels for Sunday Service and occasions.
I also would post here pretty soon how we can care for our feet to maintain its youthful looks.
Ray and Eka, if you’re reading this, I know you’re smiling hard and probably saying “I told you so!”http://www.perfectmeshoes.co.uk/ekmps/shops/pathelschoice/images/silver-glittery-sparkly-block-high-heels-platform-court-shoe-3348-p.jpg
