Parents Are Now Forbidding Their Children From Watching Nigerian Movies (Page 4)

Nollywood movies contradicts African culture. They try to display western culture and not ours. My opinion is that they should go to Hollywood and start acting instead abusing our great culture.

does the gun violence stops Hollywood movies from being accepted in Nigeria, movies like zombies, vampire, living dead, and myriads of segxwally oriented movies. Movies are like books you read meaning into or outside of the book. Story telling is an art, we cannot just sit and moralizes on the outcome of the movies. Yes I agree that Nollywood practitioners should be aware that the outside world sees Nigeria and Africa from their (nollywood)  perspective- meaning that showcasing our moral cultural and spiritual values is the only way to kill the stereotype (nrgative notion and conception about africa) India is doing just that. Ghanian movies makers are not helping matters by the number of explicit(erotic and segxwal )movies they are shooting. People outside African just want to see the beauty of that continent and our stories based our rich culture. They want something different from what they are used to.

I don't remember the name and rightly so.
But there was this Nollyflick which featured actress  Cossy Orjiakor
who was paid to have sex with a dog. That says it all.

This prohibition is absolutely clear. There are age restrictions for any movie.
I also watched these series, they are just amazing. I recently finished watching the series "Ozark". I advise you to watch Ozark, it is a very interesting series, I think you will like it. That show is a bit in a different genre, but not worse than others. I started watching it on Netflix, but recently the subscription ended, and I didn't want to renew it, I think it's expensive. I found a good site 123movie.show, where I watch everything for free. This site is no worse than Netflix, so far everything suits me. If you start watching, turn on the VPN. Good luck.
