My daddy who happens to be a night guard, told us that my mum left for Lagos in company of her boyfriend then who comes to check on her any time he was away to work. My growing up was nothing to talk about because I and my younger sister were raised by a woman we come to know as our mum but according to story she was not our biological mum. My daddy married her after our mum dumped us, she came in to the life of my father as a helper who assisted my daddy and took us as her own children. She just gave my daddy a boy who is the only son of the family. This woman was all I know and who taught me all about womanhood even when it seemed tough for us she was there to say my kids keep going it shall come to pass one day. When I finished my primary school I sat for a scholarship exams, which came from the Ministry of Education, as God would have it I passed and was trained up to University level free by the ministry. It was during my final year I met this young man who happens to be an Engineer with an oil company, he was all I wanted in a man when I finished my school, he proposed to me and I accepted, took him home to meet my lovely mother and daddy. After some time, the traditional marriage was done and it went very well my step mum who stood by me and all was happy to see me get married, the white wedding was fixed. One day I was sitting in front of our house guess who I saw?? A mother I never knew, when she was coming she looked very unkempt. I was wondering who the woman was looking for, even her pics that was in our house did not resemble the woman at the front door facing me. I greeted her and immediately she busted into tears. I stepped aside to check if she had a wound before my mum finally came out of the house, she saw her and recognized her as my real mum. My daddy never wanted to see her but with the insistence of my step mum he stayed to listen to her story, after all said and done, she said she was sorry that she want to come back to the house and take her position and also remorseful that it was young age that made her to leave then. I looked at her and said if she loves her life she should just leave the place or the next will be her obituary. After everything, the elders gathered and said what she did was an abomination the only thing would be if I can take her with me since I will soon be going to my husband house if not she does not have any place in their home. I told them I have just only one mum and that’s the woman that showed me life and what it takes to be a woman nothing more. During my white wedding, she came around, when the called the mother of the bride, she stood up and came along to take her place by my side, the look in my eyes did not allow her to sit down I told her to step aside though she was my mother as in giving birth but my real mother is my step mum . I told the MC to call her out to come and sit by m side on the high table with my daddy till the end of the wedding. Now she has been coming to my husband gate every morning to beg me to forgive her even all the members of my husband's family have been begging me to forgive her for she is now sorry over what she did.
What do i do now? if I forgive her will she give me all those comfort I wanted since I was 2yrs old? .How Do i handle this case to avoid getting entangled?
