USA to stop oil import by 2018(discovered new oil technology,drops import from )

The USA has discovered what its called SHALE OIL which is of same quality with Nigerian oil in large quantity resulting in oil export from Nigeria dropping 50% this year.They expect that by 2018 USA will import little quantity of oil(about 10% -20% of their total oil needs) which means they may not need oil from Nigeria.What is your take on this latest development and what do you think the Nigerian/African government is doing about this and what is the effect on Ngeria

My wish is to have dry oil wells in Nigeria now.
Only few have benefited from the oil wealth.
U.S.A. Set to Be Largest Oil Producer by 2020 via the new technology (hydraulic fracking) but there are environmental concerns and issues.
