Pregnant woman arrested with 16 blocks of marijuana at Badagry border

Seme Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has arrested a pregnant woman in the possession of 16 blocks of Marijuana weighing 3.5 Kilograms.

The Comptroller of the Command Mr. Salleh Otham revealed this on Wednesday in Badagry, Lagos State.
The suspects are Miss Dare Shewa and Mr. Whensu Ganhu who was the driver of the car.

He revealed that the pregnant woman gave birth to a girl shortly after the arrest was made and is presently at the General Hospital in Badagry receiving treatment due to complication after child birth.

“After the pregnant woman was arrested, that night she entered labour and she was rushed to a clinic where she gave birth to a baby girl.

“Due to complication after the child birth, she was referred to the General Hospital where she is receiving treatment at the moment”

He added that the 16 blocks of Marijuana has being handled over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation.
