In England 999 is the emergency number.

When you dial 999 you will be asked by the operator whether you would like to be put through to the police, ambulance or fire service!

Nice developemnt,i wish people just dont dail the number just for d fun of it, the cool thing in United State is that you can dail 911 even if you are in a remote location  or in a no network area and take between 15-40min for the coops and paramedics to show up.

Sometimes we claim what we dont know, 911 is a worldwide police emergency number, i have used it whenever i have problems abroad, i used it in Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, Macau, Cambodia and many other countries, so its worldwide
