Bayelsa State governor, Seriake dickson, today announced state burial for Patience Jonathan's late foster mum, Mrs. Charity Francis Oba, who died in a car accident in July.

Not only is she getting a state burial, there are also reports that several Federal Govt ministries, state governments, and government agencies are throwing large sums of public funds into funding the burial. Mrs Oba's funeral rites, which will last three days, will start on Thursday, Oct. 31 in Okrika, Rivers state.

State funeral for her foster mother.

I really would one day like to look at the rules and regulations that guide our leaders. What was her positon in government that she desrves a state burial. This is pathetic!

We are complaining about the aviation ministry spending millions on armoured cars and now we have a 3 day burial "parade" for a woman no one knew existed? We may as well declare 3 daydof national mourning with everyone going around with ashes on their head.

It appears to be a case of "Dame" Patience showing the governor of River State she rules the roost on one hand and then trying to keep her foster mothers people "happy."

Our youth have been at home because lecturers are on strike and now money is available to bury the dead in a big way.

Ludicrous.

Time Nigeria got prepared for our "Arab" uprising!!!
