A man was punished this morning by soldiers on Ikorodu road for crossing the
express road instead of using the flyover bridge. The man ought to have used the
bridge instead of crossing the road. But do you think what the soldiers did was
right?

in a country were laws are obeyed by the citizen, this kind of torture can not happen, because if it happen the penalty fix for laws broken ll enforce, but in naija no such discipline, only what ll make people scared is something like koboko or such a hard training.

Most of you guys are just commenting in ignorance. The soldier has no right to punish that man for whatsoever reason. This is not part of the job description of the military! Crossing the express road is not nearly as bad as the looting and gross indiscipline going on in our high places. If that man has broken the law, then he should be taken to court. The stupid soldier has no business with enforcing the law. Unless we are back to military rule
