Policeman who killed man in front of his family says ‘Sorry, I did it’

The police corporal, Corporal Gabriel, who shot Azeez Omotosho in front of his daughter last Saturday, has admitted to The Guardian that he did it.

Some police spokesperson had tried to say that the policeman shot when some hoodlums were trying to get his gun. But the man involved has now confessed to shooting in error.

He said: “I actually killed Azeez Omotosho, aka Panel. It was the Devil’s work; Please, forgive me. I was not myself. I WAS DRUNK when I perpetrated the act.


For being truthful, does he deserve leniency? And what should happen to the leader of his team who knew he was drunk and allowed him to wield a gun?

if he had said the truth, then he should be forgiven with 5 yreas jail term, then his team mates with him should all serve life in prison cos they should have disarmed him since they knwe he was drunk, his boss, l mean his DPO should be sacked cos he should know his boys better, the area commander should be striped of his rank, giving him a rank below, the commisioner of police and the IG of police should also have the same faith as the area commander
