1985, IBB was the president of Nigeria and our teachers told us that Buhari was the former Head of state. Our teacher also called us "the leaders of tomorrow" 27 years later, IBB and Buhari are still contesting for Presidency. Its either our teacher lied to us about being the leaders of tomorrow. Or tomorrow is yet to come. Who's fooling who?
In 1983, Bamanga Tukur was the Governor of the defunct Gongola State (now Adamawa & Taraba) and 30 years later, he is today the Chairman of the ruling Party,PDP.
Dr. Bello Halliru was commissioner in the Old Sokoto State (now Sokoto, Kebbi & Zamfara) and 33 years after he is today Minister of Defence.
Major General David Mark(rtd) was the military governor of Niger State in 1984 and 28years later he is today the Senate President.
Gov. Murtala Nyako was the governor of Niger State in 1976 and 36years later he is today the Governor of Adamawa State.
Ogbonnaya Onu was governor of Abia State in 1992 and 20years after he is today the National Chairman of ANPP.
Gov. David Jonah Jang was the governor of Benue State in 1985 and 27years after he is today the governor of plateau state.
Martins Elechi the Ebonyi State Governor is over 80 years old! Only in Nigeria is this possible, where the youth of today have no hope into the future! From strike in health sector, to the labour, to judiciary, to Education and today our students are home lavishing! If you are not lucky to be born in a rich family and your family are not connected, you are on your own....E better make u join yahoo yahoo...... So na like this we go dey?
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar told a story about how his was taken to prison for refusing to allow him go back to school. But he refused to read education statistics report handed over to him on an elaborate ceremony few years ago when he was Vice President. In the report was included the primary school attendance in Atiku’s North East was 49.5% for male and 39.1% for female. He handed the report over to an aide of his, who then handed it over to another aide and on and on until it got to the shelf where all reports like that go to collect dust. No body arrested him for not helping out in today's children education, at least for his own state.
Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said that Nigeria is so broke that they cannot meet their agreement with ASUU in the 2009 to properly fund Nigeria Tertiary Institution to standard level. May be because she graduated from Harvard University and her children are all in Harvard University. I now ask which country did the Senates, governors, House of Reps and ministers see the money they were looting? Not to mention that Nigeria law makers are the highest paid in the world and There are 109 Senators and 360 members of the House of Representatives. A senator in Nigeria earns 240 million Naira while House of Representatives earns 204 million Naira. Why not reduce their salaries to fund education sector for the so called Leaders of tomorrow?. On top of that they are still looting the country.
The same old people are giving chieftancy titles after looting while the so called future of Nigeria will be killed or sentence to many years in prison if eventually caught stealing Handsets or some little amount of money to support him self..Is that of those politicians and public office holders not stealing? Not supporting any of them but what is good for the Jews is also good for the Gentiles. You can only make it either by hook or by crook...or you die trying
