What's d criteria u use in selecting them
Cos if u re talking abt 'richest' idont think any of them come close 2 Opera Winfrey and if u say powerful/famous then beyounce and Michel obama shud be there

I do not think it really had to do with being  rich. Looking at the list, I would say it had more to do with women who have curved out a career for themselves and gone ahead to promote something positive about Africa however small. Thete are of course some names in the list many people would not agree with - but no one can be pleased all of the time.

C Adichie dud well in winning the 2013  BBC prize for literature. There were other world renowned authors in the list of potential winners however she came up trumps and won. I think age deserves a long round of applause.

it could be a good idea for you to google the other names in the list and find out why they were chosen.
