The Nigerian Government has approached a Chinese company to manage the Malam Aminu International Airport in Kano, Nigeria. This is part of the Federal Government's concession agenda.

The commissioner of commerce and industry, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahima Yakassai recently led a team of government officials to observe the activities of the Chinese firm in Germany.

Commissioner Yakassai said the current condition of the airport is very poor and he wants the airport restored to its former glory.

here we go again! usual lack of commitment and adequate project management! it jst lik wen d govt. awarded a multi-billion naira contract 2 'phantom' chinese contractors a couple of yrs bk in order 2 revamp our somewhat non-existent railway system! till 2day d situation remains d same!

4rm all indication, d govt. has no faith in its local contractors n skilled nigerian staff 2 successfully manage d airport of one of d nation's historic cities. dat if anything is a major source of concern!!

It is a shame that Nigeria cannot manage an international airport on their own without requesting help from a country like China.(The country of mass production),Our leaders need to be wise, you may think they are wise but I can tell you they are not. They should be sent on a diplomatic course to Europe and North America before they are allowed to rule us,they need to see that each state in western europe is having one or two airports which they manage on their own. I have a prayer point for  our leaders: THEY WILL DIE LIKE SOMEONE  IN PENURY. NUESTROS LIDERES ESTAN TONTO!
