Nollywood is having a sad face, as two actors have bowed out of the industry. Actor Charles Warren died on Thursday night in a hospital in Lagos, after brief illness. He was said to have complained of severe chest pains, and was rushed to the hospital where he died. Charles Warren played sub-lead roles in numerous movies such as, State of Emergency, Law 58 and many others. A popular comic actor, Shehu Jibril, otherwise known as Golobo from the Hausa sector of the industry, popularly called Kannywood died on Thursday morning in his hometown, Talatan Mafara, Zamfara state.

The cause of Golobo’s death has not been ascertained, while he was buried on Thursday.

The comedian was popular in the 80s in the Hausa entertainment industry. Golobo also acted in some Kannywood movies where he mostly played comic characters. He gained the consciousness of many Hausa entertainment industry buffs back then through his weekly television series, which ran on NTA.
