The thing is that the old fool who goes by "the governor's son" could go scot free; it being that he was not the one who fired the murder weapon but a Federal law officer who is the guardian of the laws of the State of Nigeria, who knows better and can never claim ignorant of the law is actually the one who deliberately fired on the citizen who was not armed or posed an imminent danger to him or any other one else. The action taken by the yoroba police officer is solely his and he should take responsibility for his action. No one is authorized to order a police officer to kill any one else even the so called police "General" does not have a constitutional right to order another police officer to shoot some one else. It is all based upon the officer's discretion! in other words "judgment" For one to be a professional police officer in whose hands is entrusted the lives, safety, and, security of the public and their properties; such must be mentally, emotionally, psychologically sound, must not be anxious, be impartial, must be of good moral conduct, courageous, brave, ethical, and dedicated. This silly and low life yoroba police officer must be fried; period!
Away with this terrible, horrible, disgusting, and, despicable tribe! yoroba must be destroyed!
Kabu-Kabu, it is the right thing to condemn the action of both the Governor's son and that of the policeman who you've not confirmed his tribe. A policeman is a Federal security officer and the issue of tribe does not come into play here. He could be an Iboman, a Hausa, Yoruba (not yoroba) or Ijaw man, all we care to know is his untowards action towards a defenceless and misused governor's aide. Remember that many Yorubas and Ibos are friends on a personal level and one tribe should not harbor hatred for another. And there is no way, and no how you can wipe out a major tribe as you have proposed. In the interest of peaceful cohabitation, get over your hatred for any tribe and love people for who they are; creation of God and not creation of tribe. There are many good and honest in every tribe;Yorubas, Ibos, Hausas and other major and minority tribes and nationalities in Nigeria. Let us shun hatred for our fellow men so that we can all live together in concord and harmony. The Yoruba is not the enemy and there is no need to wish them death or perdition. Our enemy is poverty, lack, want, poor road network, poor electricity, insecurity, kidnapping, armed robbery, poor governance, corruption in high places and high level dishonesty of public officers and all other vices which make our existence as humans a nightmare.

  • First son of Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State, Chinedum, on Saturday escaped assassination when a gunman reportedly shot at his car, as he drove out of the venue of a reception organised by Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in honour of his father in Umuahia.

But his Personal Assistant, identified as John Ndubuka, was not so lucky, as the bullet aimed at Chinedum pierced John's chest through his back.

He was pronounced dead by doctors at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, where he was rushed to after the shooting.

It wss gathered that Abia State Police Commissioner, Adamu Ibrahim, has ordered detectives of the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) to fish out the culprit and collaborators.

Sources said shortly after the reception at the former Umuahia Main Market was concluded at about 4.30 p.m., the Governor and his entourage left for the home of state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, where guests were entertained.

As the Governor's son and his aides were also leaving the venue at about 5.15 p.m., a single shot rang out at the direction of his car.

Chinedum had already entered the car, but his aide was just walking down beside it.

Sources said the bullet hit Ndubuka on the back shoulder, pierced through his right rib and emerged through the chest, leaving him gasping in a pool of blood.

The Governor's son (popularly called Ikuku) and others, who saw Ndubuka clutching his chest and blood dripping down his white shirt, rushed him to the FMC, where he was pronounced dead and moved to the mortuary.

Briefing newsmen at the Government House on Sunday, Information and Strategy Commissioner, Eze Chikamnayo, said the incident 'has left everyone, including the First Family and the people of the state, very sad'.

He said the reception had ended successfully with the Governor and his guests already out of the venue, when the incident occurred.

Chikamnayo insisted that though the police are on the matter to unravel the mystery behind the killing of Ndubuka, whose seven month old pregnant wife had just concluded her NYSC programme last Thursday, foul play could not be ruled out.

He believes that the shot was meant for the Governor's son, as it came from the back and directed towards the car door, which had been opened to enable him enter and move out of the place.

'But unfortunately the assassin's bullet hit his PA, who had shut the door and was walking beside it.'

Chikamnayo said with 2015 general elections around the corner, nothing could be given to chance, adding that government was not taking the incident lightly.

However, he urged Abia residents to remain calm and go about their businesses without fear, saying security agencies were still working round the clock to ensure that lives and property were safe in the area.

Abia State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Geoffrey Ogbonna, said three policemen have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Ogbonnaya told the News Agency of Nigeria that the suspects were arrested between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, adding that the command had begun full investigation into the incident.

JUST IMAGINE WHAT A HUMAN BEING DID TO A FELLOW HUMAN BEING ALL IN THE NAME OF POWER AND STOLEN WEALTH.

TO NIGERIAN POLITICIANS AND THEIR CHILDREN, THE INTERPRETATION OF DEMOCRACY IS, DO WHATEVER THAT PLEASES YOU AND NOTHING WILL HAPPEN AND NO ONE WILL QUESTION YOU.

APART FROM THE ALMIGHTY GOD, NO ONE STAYS AT THE TOP FOREVER. THIS INNOCENT BLOOD YOU HAVE SPILLED WILL HUNT YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.
