This is so shocking!!! A 15-year old boy, Seun Aderinwale was successfully exchanged for two bags of rice valued at N20,000 on Monday by a yet-be-identified man.

The incident happened at Igando in Alimosho area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that the man had gone to purchase 2 bags of rice from a shop owned by one Iya Ibrahim but he didn't have money so he proposed to drop Seun, an aluminium apprentice, as collateral and return later to pay. Iya Ibrahim was not available that time so her son Ibrahim who was in the shop agreed to the proposal.

She was surprised to find Seun in her shop when she returned later to learn about the exchange. The 15-year-old boy was held hostage as the unidentified man failed to show up until later in the evening when the pastor of his church, a Celestial Church of Christ around the area, saw him at the shop looking despondent.

He was later freed after the pastor, known simply as Oluso in the neighborhood, settled the matter. He asked the shop owner to take responsibility for one of the stolen bags of rice while Seun’s father, a co-worker with him in the church, should pay for the other bag of rice.

When Seun was questioned on how he met the fraudster, he said he did not know the man’s house or have other information about him as he met him casually at Hotel Bus Stop about 300 metres to his residence where a church member had sent him on an errand to play lotto, popularly known as “Baba Ijebu”.

Such stories make me think that if the SLAVE TRADE was still ongoing - my fellow Nigerians would monopolise the trade!!!

Very sad event.

what really is wrong with you?  "the boy must be a goat in human?" What does that even mean? Do you you understand that adults can kidnap children? Do you think the boy planned this...and he does not want to be home with his parents? if anyone is wrong, it is the adults in his life, How do you come up with a comment like this,,,are you the one that is a goat in human,,,,i don't even understand this but it cannot be a young boy...and since you do...it must be you evil man. i hate people who attack children.
