Ceciliam Ibru surrenders herself to the EFCC

 Shocked :oFormer chief executive of Oceanic Bank Mrs. Cecilia Ibru yesterday turned herself in to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), three days after being declared wanted.

Mrs. Ibru, who surrendered yesterday in the afternoon, spent the night in detention at the EFCC office in Lagos undergoing questioning over alleged fraud, insider trading and money laundering.


The anti-graft agency declared her and her Intercontinental Bank counterpart Erastus Akingbola wanted on Sunday, after hunting for them for more than a week without success.

“She gave herself up this afternoon. She is being interrogated,” EFCC spokesman Femi Babafemi told Daily Trust yesterday.
 Huh? Huh?
